Re: Kaoru Nagisa's four English voice actors
Considering the abysmal translation, the actors miraculously managed to make it at least seem natural. I really wonder how anybody could ever watch this dub and not burst out laughing. But then I remember that most people aren't capable to appreciate the sheer craftsmanship on display, managing to c...

Re: Release Date: January 23, 2021
Khara/Anno conceived NTE as a cinema experience first and foremost. And having seen, yes, I can confirm the movie is like 5 times better on a big screen. It's similar to something like 2001, or much less pretentious, Interstellar. BusterMachine has a point tho, Khara should know about their oversees...

Re: Release Date: January 23, 2021
An idea just popped into my mind... Knowing Anno, everything is meta and chockfull of manifold meaning, but maybe Thrice upon a time also alludes to the fact that (once) upon a time the three Evangelion movies happened, alluding to the fact that it's been quite some time since they happened.

Leaks very rarely happen in the Japanese Entertainment industry, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Don't be afraid to speak up, I appreciate it a lot!
Concerning your idea, we already have a Welcome Thread... but you not having seen it, speaks to the fact that we might wanna give it a more prominent place... but where, tho? haha.

Re: Gundam (In All Its Incarnations) Mk. II
I'm honestly baffled at how much hate Tomino is getting here, as if the anti war theme of all the Gundams he made is in any way difficult to understand. You know, the most important part of the shows? We're talking about the director that sometimes has the main characters literally scream the messag...

Like he wanted one of the takeaways of G-Reco to be that humanity should be skeptical of developing space elevators and that humanity probably should never waste time developing them, and it fucking baffles me that he thought anyone would ever get that out of that show to say nothing of the actual ...

Re: Shin Eva - Official Social Media: 2.22 You Can (Not) Release
Am I wrong or does it seem like Khara has been making big announcements every 10 days. We're 60 days from release if things stick. So probably should expect the next big announcement in ten days. Once they past 50 I figure they'll announce things a lot more regularly. Curious to see what else they ...

^ I honestly wonder how anyone manages to sit through the scatterbrained to the point of being absolutely bonkers directing of Tomino Shows. Like it's funny for 3 Minutes, and he is great at depicting chaos, but that's it. Otherwise the erratic way things play out are just bewildering and exhausting...

Re: Shin Eva - Official Social Media: 2.22 You Can (Not) Release
Looking back and comparing the previous movies, 3.33 definitely felt the least consistent in the animation department. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks amazing, just more wobbly moment to moment due to (what I presume) a bit more haphazard quality control, than the previous two movies (which mig...

Interesting designs, Shateiel looks like the new ps5. Damn, and I thought my discernment of different designs was bad, lol. Whenever people debate the slight changes is plug suits and Evangelion designs, I'm like "whut", since I don't see it. But comparing that design to the PS5 is reeeea...
