Having her mother back certainly woke her up; but at the end of that sequence, both her mother and being an Eva pilot had been ripped from her, putting her back to Not qualified to be the Second Child... There's no reason for me to exist anymore. If she truly wanted to live at the very end, her ...

Any chance of those pics? Sorry ... they came around on *that board* a while back; but that sort of thing isn't my scene, so I didn't save images or the link to the site. IIRC, she was posed kneeling with arms bound behind her back. I was more boggled by the obvious hours of work that went ...

Re: Konnichiwa!

Welcome aboard this merry Ship of Fools!

Concurrency of EoE and EoTV is pretty much assumed here (after all, what few glimpses of the real world you do get in EoTV only make sense if EoE is happening). So is shipping S/A ([mutley]rashin, frashin,....[/mutley]).

Miyazaki is quite firm that what he produces isn't anime. Cracking movie, though.

Girls with guns: Having used Noir in the recommendations thread, and Dirty Pair for comedy, next off the list is Burn-Up Excess - harmless tosh, but tosh none the less.

Re: Favorite Anime in genre

You're showing your age... but if you could point me in the direction of Dirty Pair fansubs I would be grateful. You always remember the first time... The Lovely Angels were my gateway drug into manga, and later anime. ADV have the Original Dirty Pair OAVs/movies, and later DPFlash; I don't...

In a testimony to the posability of these figures, I have seen photos of Asuka in fairly severe bondage poses ... and obsessive attention to details on the knotwork of the twine used.

I think it makes sense to exclude NGE from this sort of list, for obvious reasons; just noting if your choice in SF is one you rate higher than NGE. Some titles are, of course, transgressive. The Dirty Pair are both comedy and SF; and is Simoun fantasy or SF? (answer = yes). This is where I ...

Are you intentionally "Forum Elder", as opposed to "Administrator" or whatever? I didn't get relabelled automagically as Moderator, and if there's a magic switch to let me adjust that field, I've not yet found it. N-nani?!? Geometry: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Stel...

Yes - he accused me of being overridden by those merkabah groups before he turned his ire on Reichu. I think the trigger was my eldritch time-warping ability to have read books before Zuggy was even born.

Re: Evangelion cameos?

GITS: SAC 2nd (episode 20)- A Tachikoma comments that the entrance to the underground submarine base looks like a "Geofront". This is a reference to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Actually, it's a reference to the original GitS manga, and both Shirow and Anno refer to prior art, in ...
