But the point still stands, doesn't it? It kind of raises questions about what double-standards we as viewers are comfortable with. And I agree with you about the interesting part... :mwahaha:

Since the provocativeness was added just so that the characters were hard to cosplay, I doubt the all-male version would've been nearly as provocative in the clothing department. The Satsuki/Ragyo "relationship" is beyond horrible - would changing both of them to men really make it any...

Do one for both Bardi and Zer, since they're almost a double-arrival. Besides, a black Evangelion spells both "cool" and "evil" at once.

I've only ever had overly hard bagels, and I never understood why something with an exterior so hard to bite through was so popular. Now I know.

I was happy with 1.0 and rather disappointed with the way 2.0 went although not to the point of outright hatred. 3.0 made me think the series had jumped the shark at first - seriously, 14-year timeskip, flying giant battleship, "Nemesis series", the world utterly devastated, Fourth Impact ...

The way Gendo alludes to his plans to make them mysterious, the very long-term planning he has in mind to bring back his wife, the way Gendo poses, the way nothing ever seems to "go against the scenario" for him makes him seem like an infallible chessmaster to those writing him in fiction....

It's the 9th in Japan, which means that the JMSDF tanks should be readying themselves for Sachiel's landfall right now. Sachi should emerge from the ocean soon and the action should start. And Shinji's probably on the train now.

The fun begins!

I do like this timeline, as a matter of fact. Hmm, so according to that timeline today's the day Eva-00 goes berserk, Gendo's glasses crack and Rei gets her bandages, and tomorrow's the day Sachi stomps into Tokyo-3.

It sounds like you were lucky enough to come to the series relatively unspoiled. How did you manage that after all these years? What BobBQ said. I knew that Madoka was exceptionally dark but that was just about it - I never bothered to read more about the series or to watch it. Also, I've never...
