The word "deification" usually refers to revering someone as a god rather than someone becoming a god. "Apotheosis" would work better.

Then again, the acronym would... eh, never mind.

I believe the latter half of Deadman Wonderland has its own TV-safe dub. The question is whether they'd want to pay for the re-dubbing in this instance. The violence shouldn't be a problem for Adult Swim. Aside from the swearing, I dunno about the nude Rei stuff. Nipples are still visible bu...

Here's confirmation they hope to air 2.22 if the ratings for 1.11 were good. Eva aside, this also functions as confirmation that they want to air more movies outside of the birthday event. I'd love to see anime movies get more TV exposure, so I'm glad about this. Redline would be just t...

No, that's really in the movie. But they cut a lengthy shot later on in which Rei is more exposed.

They edited the scene in Rei's apartment a bit too, though not as noticeably.

The movie's airing in about twelve minutes, if you want to watch it for whatever reason. They just aired a trailer full of [NOT] title cards. THIS IS [NOT] THE APOCALYPSE HE IS [NOT] A HERO etc. We exhausted [NOT] jokes within the day of the title's announcement, but seeing all those [NOT]s ...

Did we ever really get confirmation Anno's actually seen Colossus: The Forbin Project ? The backmasked quote used for the Dummy Plug turned out to be a stock sound effect, after all. Of all the computer-takes-over-mankind stories to adapt, though, Colossus strikes me as an interesting one. Compu...

(not to sound like a hipster or anything - the kind of fan we'll get out of the Toonami release will be different than a fan produced by other means). Well, I first started watching Evangelion when it aired on Adult Swim back in 2005, and switched to DVDs from Netflix around the time of...
