Love that one, could work so well in everyday life. Also, my personal trinity of favorites from him: " BRING ON THE MARIACHI BAND! " " Bad guys don't go left to right. " " I have fallen, and I choose NOT to get up! " Like 90% of everything that man says is gold "D...

Re: First half or Second half of EoE: Which was better in your opinion?

I think that message still holds true at the end, but Anno will never tie things up neatly. There is always afterwards. In a sense it's only the beginning for Shinji facing his life, and the audience is also left to think sbout the film and apply whst they've learned. This is actually pretty consta...

Re: How will future generations perceive Evangelion?

If King Records' licensing fee greed and the blindness of most people who haven't seen the show online dismissing it as an edgy, pretentious, confusing mess (eg. "lol Shinji get in the robot") are anything to go off of, I'd say they wouldn't perceive it much at all.

Re: Evangelion on Criterion Collection

Yeah I heard about that, I have been thinking about starting a petition to get a release. I want to contact different Journalists, critics and famous people that have fond views of the series to help sponsor an official release. That would be awesome! A DVD, Blu Ray & digital release of all epi...

Re: Evangelion on Criterion Collection

It would be hilarious if they actually decided to try but Starchild ramped up the licensing fees even more to where even Criterion couldn't afford it

Re: SEGA General

So yesterday SEGA Forever's social media accounts (or at least their Instagram) teased a SEGA Forever release of Dynamite Headdy, a game by Treasure. You may know Treasure as the company that made Gunstar Heroes and Sin & Punishment, two awesome run & gun games. I personally consider them SE...

Re: Okay, let's try to figure out how sapient entity types work.

The Evas lacking the Fruit of Knowledge doesn't make any sense, as far as I can see. Why would Eva-01 be the only one to have it? Consider, Lilin did not sprout directly from Lilith's body -- the process was very indirect. And yet all Lilin have the Fruit of Knowledge, somehow. What could the trans...

Re: SEGA General

Back when I had the Dreamcast, I was anticipating playing the first Shenmue game I got for one Christmas but apparently, it was defective or something because it would cut to black and not come back to a different scene for long periods of time. Because of the recent news of Shenmue 1 and 2 being r...

There's already a thread for Sonic, I'm sick to death of Sonic, there are only a handful of genuinely good Sonic games and the rest are guilty pleasures, go to the Sonic thread to discuss Sonic unless it's a reference or cameo or crossover. Thank you. I've recently been playing Jet Set Radio and Spa...

Re: Darling in the Franxx (Studio Trigger)

I'm pretty calm, cool and collected in this forum, but I have to admit that this series started by pissing me off, and episode 14 brought me right back to that after the series had started to become really enjoyable. I see nothing but Evangelion parallels everywhere in the first chunk of episodes. A...

Re: Do You Think Rei Was Un-Tanged Shortly After "Kimochi Warui"?

Based on my interpretation of Rei's character in Neon Genesis (at least the original anime series, my views of Sadamoto's manga differ), I highly doubt she would return to human form. Rei is clearly uncomfortable simply existing, she's the soul of a god forced into a fake body, a clone of someone wh...

What's a pirate's favorite SEGA Saturn game?

Sonic ARRRR

Although alternatively it would likely be Panzer Dragoon Saga, seeing as how every region's release is so difficult to find that you pretty much have to emulate or burn it to a disc to avoid spending your entire life savings.

I've never actually heard of this before your post. I'm not a big mobile game guy, but I'll definitely have to try this, it looks like a fast paced, free roaming NiGHTS game, so I'm pretty much obligated to play it.

In an attempt to revive this dying thread, I shall rip off a funny milk joke An Angel and a bearded sociopath are cleaning up the remains of the facility the sociopath owns. The sociopath says to the Angel, "oh hey I drank your orange juice, it was really good." The Angel replies, "wh...
