Re: FML general thread [8]

Psycho-neighbour update: Three weeks free of him for me, two weeks on holiday and when I came back he was gone for a week. So I did some more work on eliminating sources of noise in my apartment (turns out a certain wall vibrates when water taps are turned open wide and a cupboard that was attached ...

Re: Anyone ever see these? I can't find any information on them. They're unopened

What more were you looking for? New posters who don't post any more messages than "What are these?" with the implication of "(What are they worth?)" always prefer to hear "They are worth a bazillion dollars, the blood of the buyer's newborn child, and two dozen experienced ...

Actually, that's 100% correct: an acorn IS an oak tree, just a very tiny one hidden together with a a food cache inside a hardened outer shell. Just like all plant seeds, really. ^_^

It's more a Mom and Dad joke...

Re: Rule34: When does it go too far?

I honestly don't think there's a line that won't be crossed by Rule 34. Someone will always cross whatever line is put down. For example, "Mai-chan's Daily Life". And to avoid problems I'll just leave you with a Wikipedia link, the plot summary, and some additonal information: https://en....

The hare better run as fast as they can, 'cause clearly the turtle is drinking Red Bull and it's working.

...there is a Wikipedia article for the "hair intake"-style of hair:

IIRC, Kira was supposed to die, but the creators chickened out because of his popularity in Japan.

Re: FML general thread [8]

I need to make a small correction to the saga of Psycho-Neighbour: He has a girlfriend . Who could just as well be a clone of his mother: same length, same body shape, same hairstyle (but curly instead of straight), same type of personality. :freud: I crossed them while going to the super...

Re: FML general thread [8]

Sound like the kind of person that was ultimately responsible for my last job ending, DarkBluePhoenix. Dunning-Kruger syndrome all over them, and the best is that they won't ever understand they are stupid and causing damage to the company. I think the one at my previous job is still raging about th...

Re: FML general thread [8]

I wouldn't give up hope yet. One of my kiddies disappeared for months only to come walking in the door one day. Never did find out where she'd been. :chinscratch: In someone else's kitchen, being fed, likely. You only have to start worrying when her alternate parents put up a "missing" si...

Re: FML general thread [8]

Yay, psycho-neighbour seems to be going into real psycho mode now  . Re: FML general thread [8]

I am pretty sure behaviour like this can be reported to the police. At least here in Germany, you can get into serious trouble if you do ejust one of those things even on a semi-regular basis Yeah, it's pretty much the same in here, but the problem is that the guy seems to know exactly how far he c...

Re: Dealing with being thirty

I also want to ask about the stigma of being thirty, our society praises youth and vitality but thirty is close to middle age and thirty seems almost frowned upon. How do you deal with that stigma? Or is it a thing? Growing old is inevitable as you not be able to certain things when you are younger...

Re: FML general thread [8]

So, since a few months I have a new neighbour (I live in an apartment building), who seemed alright when I first met him. Unfortunately that didn't last long.. . First, his parents lived with him several weeks and caused a ruckus Every. Single. Night. with slamming doors etc. During this ...
