Re: FML general thread [8]

Not a FML per se, but just something I need to post because it gave me a "Oh Gods..."-moment: Just read in the media that an ex-colleague (that I rather liked) died by drowning in a storm while on holiday ;_;

RIP

Re: Shin Eva - Official Social Media

Genuinely surprised they didn't share the movie's full title tonight. Figured tonight would have been the moment. Very curious if they're holding on to that for later or if the English "You Something (Not) Something" is added late in the game. If the ALL-CAPS words on the second poster ar...

So, to be honest, I don't get the complaints about the French subs being weird. They are slightly formal, but not wrong by themselves. Now my French is mostly based on 1980s/1990s French, and I am fairly out of touch with current popular speech. Sure, I know about Verlan etc., can usually deduct wha...

2/ The exact line in French is "La fin couronne le travail", which means "The end crowns the work", it's not a phrase used in France, but after a quick research, it seems to be a translation of the latin phrase “Finis Coronat Opus”, traditionally attributed to the Roman poet Ovi...

That might the most over the top thing I've ever seen in EVA, utter madness :w00t: . I was fairly confident that the tower in the poster was Tokyo Tower, but it was it's "older sibling" as it turns out, but Paris looked really good. And now to slip into anxiety as I have to wait another y...

Re: Shin Eva - Official Social Media

Oh wow. Looks like the will be using the Anime Expo screenings to show the first 10 minutes of Final in Paris on Saturday 6th July. https://twitter.com/khara_inc/status/1143084515117522944 It looks to be a similar situation to what we had with the preview for 3.0, which was the scene of Mari and As...

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

Tonight, I forgot to pull up the sun screens on my balcony. When I went to do that, I noticed something fairly large flapping around under the screens. First I thought it was some kind of big moth, but only when it almost smacked me in the face I realised it was a freaking bat! Yay wildlife! :D Abou...

Re: FML general thread [8]

For the first time in several years, I visited the Hot Topic in my nearest mall and while the CDs are long gone, the shirts are everywhere. But unfortunately, the anime shirts never seem to be in my size which is 2XL. I went ahead like a dummy knowing I have to return it but bought it anyway, a Cow...

Re: FML general thread [8]

Sound like my university town on their local celebration day - best avoided by anyone who has any common sense, values their rest, and/or thinks it's abnormal to have to wade through a layer of 15-30 cm of garbage mixed with vomit the next day :cringe: .

Re: News [NO POLITICS]

First pictures of the aftermath are less bad than expected, as it seems the inner (stone) roof shielded much of the interior from the flames. Also, the organ is not completely destroyed. Heavy smoke and water damage, though... :sniffle:

Re: Only in Japan...

I really wish I could say I was surprised at this... but I'm really not. I mean... come on... this is a few steps shy of tentacle city. Frankly, tentacles are becoming so stereotypical that they seem mild (despite being more explicit) compared to some of the fetishes Japanese artists cater to. One ...
