I think it's also meant to showcase how Asuka has a little bit of imposter syndrome. She lives a façade of the haughty, prideful prodigy but is in fact quite insecure and anxious.

Re: Bootleg DVDs
Well. Back in the day, and I'm saying this because I have no idea how old the (presumably) DVDs you bought are, pirated CDs and DVDs would have a purple or blue gradient on the underside, that is, the one without the cover, because original ones, written with industrial machinery and not home equipm...

Re: GKids releasing NGE Blu-Ray in North America 2021
This is *not* the G-KIDS North America release, but instead a new Korean BR release that the Korean Eva forum , which has provided us some translated material in the past, is currently looking over. I might as well post them here, as I really love those covers. https://i.imgur.com/k78QhTK.jpg https:...

Re: [Game] Neon Genesis Evangelion 2: Another Cases
Hey, thanks for doing this, I've been playing both the PS2 and PSP versions and it's quite an interesting game. Funny that the PSP later release is more refined, but of course as it often happened with PSP ports at that time, graphically it looks much worse. Rei's apartment in the PS2 version is ver...

Re: A specific set of Neon Genesis Evangelion subs
IIRC Kissanime was using Central Anime, yes. Which is a very old fansub and full of problems. Nowadays you should always give preference to Khara's own sub, and after that ADV Platinum.

I actually still have the magazine in a box somewhere. I didn't realize something like that would be desired. I was very busy so didn't post this yet, but thanks again. I asked Cyharding here if he still had them and of course since we live in the future, we have phones that take readable pictures ...

Re: How controversial was the EoTV ending in actuality?
Yeah well, we have to understand that Youtube analysis are a major way for people to form their interpretations. However, for the most part they read off the wiki and the forums here, sometimes verbatim. The ones that care to do research are usually fine but this is a remarkable case of someone misu...

Re: How controversial was the EoTV ending in actuality?
I saw this very enduring myth being promulgated again, and although I can point out to the evidence we already have presented, I want to ask two things. It was popular at the time, and it is popular now. I thought of everything in the letters. If you write the real thing, it causes a lot of trouble....

I've perused a lot of interpretations over time, in fact I had a summary written down somewhere, which I never used, let me look for it... ...and it seems the dominating one by now in the East Asian fandoms is basically that the loops are a natural feature of the Rebuild continuity. They are outside...

Re: English Voice actors for Extra Eva characters...
I kinda have to wonder if they'd get some random VAs for these games, as that has happened many times with other franchises before. Yet at the same time, if something as relatively inconsequential as GoS 1 got enough fan interest to be localized in the West, they might have bothered getting the ADV ...
