Re: Rebuild of EvangeléMon

Don't worry, there's more where those came from! Neon Genesis Evangelémon Episode 7: Aim for The Horn! Gendo Ikari dismounted from the back of his Hydreigon and entered the elevator to the secret bunker. This was going to be an important conference; his position in NERV depended on it. Though he wou...

Re: Rebuild of EvangeléMon

Neon Genesis Evangelémon Episode 6: Regice, Ice, Baby The angular, crystalline form of Regice loomed above Pallet Town 3 as Shinji crawled into Genesect’s entry plug and braced himself to be deployed. As Genesect emerged above the Geofront, Shinji instinctively focused the cannon on its back on Regi...

Neon Genesis Evangelémon You Can (Not) Catch ‘Em All Episode 5: A Glasses Case “Is Mewtwo. . .I mean, Unit Zero. . . ready for its trial run?” The question came from a bespectacled, long-haired man who overlooked a panel full of dials and switches. His name was Shigeru Aoba, and he was one of the ba...

Neon Genesis Evangelémon: You Can (Not) Catch ‘em All Episode 4: The Sandslash’s Dilemma. Shinji was in trouble. Not the kind of trouble that was typical for a child of his age, which tended to involve such things as leaving the hallway lights on, over-watering the houseplants, or not cleaning up af...

They can't cancel it yet. They still have three series that are being developed: Stargirl, Harley Quinn, and Metropolis.

Re: Last Movie You Watched

There were a couple homages that I thought were pretty cool, but the most interesting reveal/homage was: The events of Pokemon: The First Movie happened in this movie's universe. They directly state that the Mewtwo in this film is the same Mewtwo from the 1999 film. They reference how it broke ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Probably no to the first one (the writers have been notoriously coy about Snoke's backstory, and it's unlikely that they want to identify him with a pre-existing character), but the second is a possibility. We know Palpatine died in Episode VI, but there's nothing stopping him from "possessing&...

Re: Rebuild of EvangeléMon

And here's episode 3: Episode 3: Good Ol’-Fashioned Fisticuffs It had been three weeks since Shinji’s harrowing battle with Regigigas, and he would have liked to have some time to enjoy himself. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, he had nothing of the sort. Instead, he was to be going to school, ...

To speed things along, here's chapter 2: Neon Genesis Evangelemon: You Can (not) Catch ‘Em All Episode 2: Shinji pops a NERV Shinji gulped and sputtered as he found himself submerged in the smelly orange liquid that filled the entry plug. He fought the urge to vomit, but that did little good, becaus...

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

And while it is true that Sony is working on making their own cinematic universe with Spider-Verse as a launching ground ( by 2029 I predict every Spider-Person who showed up in that film & in the sequels will have their own ongoing series ) & a hit PG-13 rated animation film could come out...

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

So, how long would you give it before we have an animated movie that:
-Is financially successful
-Is Rated PG-13 or R
-Is Released by a major studio
-Is NOT a comedy
-Is NOT based on a TV series
-Grosses at least $100 million worldwide.

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

You're implying that the animated LOTR and Heavy Metal were unsuccessful. They weren't: LOTR made $30 million on a $5 million budget, and Heavy Metal made $20 million on a $9 million budget.

I have a feeling that
SPOILER: Show
we'll be seeing Goose again. They aren't going to introduce a powerful Flerken just for the sake of a post-credits scene.

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

It's happening, slowly but surely. The acceptance that animation for adults can be made at all, even if it's just vulgar comedies, was the first step. So far, so good. The next step is to diversify the number of genres that animation can cover. And we're getting there. A number of recent adult anima...

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

Well, there's one good thing. If everything is CGI in the future, then the stigma of animation being only for kids will be over.

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

to watch movies that are entirely CG with actors who do not exist, created for each film Wait, does that mean we're finally going to get more animated movies aimed at adults? In all seriousness, you make a good point with your Sears comparison. I think another good comparison would be the fate of t...

Re: DISNEY buys FOX

Disney needs to revisit their roots. As a company, they were BUILT on risk. Walt Disney was a risk-taker. An animated feature-length film in 1937, at a time when people thought animation was only good for 10-minute shorts? They said it couldn't be done, but he did it. A theme park based on movies an...
