It's easy to see why Shiro chose this musical sound for his theme in 3.0: It needed to be big, sweeping, and very romantic; everything Tchaikovsky's music was! Defenitely. I remember listening to 3.0's OST after I had finished watching the film, knowing I had heard music very similar to...

That can't be, since even the FoIs that didn't merged with Infinity yet were beheaded. That's why I think that their head fell from the moment they were born, as a reaction to Lilith's body being beheaded perhaps, and that would imply that they were born in Lilith's chamber, and...

Well, Tanabata is an annual celebration. They could go with another timeskip.

Amazing coverage ElMariachi. Looks like it was one hell of an event.

Looking again at the image, Shinji's heels aren't touching the ground, he's is actually on tiptoe even while seating, which is a known sign of stress and tension. So yeah, I think that it's "just" that Shinji is very tense in this scene(with good reasons!) I recall...

Nice analysis on the Tanabata reference. I never noticed the reference myself.

Anywho, I also got the impression that Shinji was only with Neo-NERV for a few days. The film's fast pacing only added to that impression.

What do you guys think of the DSS Choker having some sort of failsafe mechanism? I bring this up because the choker started glowing red and making a humming sound when Kaworu removed it from Shinji's neck, almost as if it would have detonated if Kaworu removed his magical AT Field touch from it....

I like that thought, though I will want to go back and view again with it in mind. But if so, then when they discover in Final that Shinji is still alive, and that he did not do this redeeming thing, won't their anger against him be not merely renewed, but intensified? That's definitely som...

Regarding 4th Impact's Cancellation

It seems obvious that with Shinji being an "Impact Trigger" and being important to Neo-NERV, Misato would know that Shinji was piloting Unit 13 and therefore being the cause of the beginning of the 4th Impact. This would have most likely caused some anger and stress to Misato and the rest ...

A bit of speculation on my part.. It seems during Near 4th Impact the Failures of Infinity "re-activated" (they were screaming and twitching in mid-air), at least until the Impact ended. It could be that those olive colored Evas we see in the preview for 4.0 are now awakened FoIs b...

Well, I'd have the patience to wait for it, but I'd really prefer to have 4.0 around 2014.

Well we'd have to get a sequel to the Evangelion: Prelude game that came back shortly after 1.0's release if we're gonna get something like that. Take the hint Anno.... With all the money 3.0 has made, it seems pretty likely. Maybe after 4.0 has its theatrical run :D. I really do doubt ...

Except that the ambiguity doesn't explain anything. I'm not asking to be spoon fed an entire flashback that shows us in every little detail what went on in the 14 year gap. However, giving us 14 years of important details and not showing us ANYTHING from those 14 years is bad story telling....

Should the 14-Year timeskip remain a mystery? [Split]

[Split from Do You Dislike Q? . - Monk] Number 1: we need a 14 year filler. Missing those details affected the movie for me. I personally think some sort of filler that explains what happened during those 14 years would defeat the purpose of 3.0. The purpose being that it's "supposed"...

I feel that the direction that Anno took with 3.0 is completely insane. First off, I love the premise and concept of 3.0. Time-skip, set in the "future", WILLE at war with NERV and post-Third Impact world. That said, I whole heartedly welcome this insane and shocking time-skip, although I ...

Well, this will be my first time posting here. I used to visit the Evawiki ages ago when I first got into Evangelion, back when NGE aired on Cartoon Network's adult swim. Yes, I know...with the English dub. I wasn't able to help it, I knew nothing about anime at the time and had just by chan...
