Re: Title change

What Reichu said. Only Mr.Anno would know the answers.

Well, perhaps you meant to start a fun thread for speculation -- as you already hinted at possible explanations. :)

Re: Possibly bad news for Shin?

Ah, thank you very much for that. "The work site being torn down" makes a lot more sense that way -- compared to the speculation I brought here.

Possibly bad news for Shin?

This bit of news is going around on Korean sites. They say Tatsuo Sato tweeted the following (https://twitter.com/seitenhyohyo/status/691820987248177152): そもそも現場をバラしてて劇場も何も無いじゃない。ゆっくり待てばいいと思うよ Translation: "Since the work site(現場) is torn down, there can't be a movie(劇場, literally a theater) or...

Do you mean the 3rd movie (Q)? I don't remember noticing Nerv's food or giant babies from the first two.

I'm disappointed too. Then again I understand they don't owe me anything.

I just look forward to that some day when I come to this forum and find posts saying "yay it is happening".. )

I agree that 4 is generally avoided (that's true in certain other Asian countries), but for Mr. Anno perhaps that should not apply. For one thing he had intentionally chosen "shi to shinsei" -- which could either be death(shi) and(to) rebirth or a birth of an an...

Useless observations - It would've been cool to have cyan, magenta, yellow represent Q, Jo, Ha - But cyan+magenta+yellow = black, not white (subtractive model -- e.g. printer ink) - In the additive model on the other hand, red+green+blue = white (LED lights) - Red, green, blue are ...

Wait, Gendo uses sumo terms to design the important Evas in Ha ?! I watched that scene like a million times and didn't know either. (It all comes down to the fact I don't speak Japanese..) I did some search: http://forum.evageeks.org/thread/7430/Eva-01-Eva-08-and-Eva-06/ http://foru...

Re: Evangelion: FINAL subforum unlocked

In preparation for the updated FINAL Preview in about a week, and eventual news about FINAL, that subforum's been unlocked and already created threads have been moved there. Thank you very much SSD. Nitpick: the link has "HTTPS" in the beginning and makes my brower complain about the ...

It's a welcome bit of news but at the same time it's frustrating that there was nothing about the final. I wish there had been a question "how was your experience with Final" or something along those lines.
(Many thanks go to SSD, though.)

is it true four is an unlucky number in Asia? I thought that was 8. That is true -- you'll see many older buildings that don't have the 4th floor. The numbers will go from 3rd to 5th. I thought 8 is a lucky number in China? (The opposite of what you said) *edit* I'm told there a...

I knew the words/characters for four(四) and death(死) have the same/similar pronunciation in multiple Asian countries, but don't know about white(白) -- the color itself may represent death but its reading is quite different. Is there a different Chinese word for white?

According to web translation engines something like this? I would guess there's no additional information than we already see.

Somehow that hadn't come off to me as a stepwell, because the ones I've seen are not always inverted pyramids. There's quite a bit of variation in shape. (Impressive find, though.) Well NERV's "well" looks more like a construction site or a mine than those stepwell...

The wall they are standing outside is definately just a flat wall, not the outer wall of a pyramid. I kept watching the scene over and over. At some point the wall appears sloped (the crane that's attached to the wall seems to go up at an angle), but at some other times it just looks ve...
