Re: Last Movie You Watched

Even though I had it on BluRay, I never took the time to watch it through there and last night it was showing on HBO so I watched for the first time Alien: Covenant . First off, I have to say that Danny McBride making the transition from funny man to convincing serious material co-lead is such a won...

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

Been thinking about streaming the Funimation channel on the internet especially because I can't keep shelling out too much money for the physical copies of their anime which are taking up too much space in my closets. I think my Roku box has the ability to show it on my HDTV and the price is right, ...

Re: The James Bond Thread

Of the three 60s/70s era Bond actors, I know Connery did some stunts and Moore said he didn't do any of the stunts himself but whenever I watch OHMSS, I always feel like every hit Lazenby lands on another person is done with spirit and conviction and force. Perhaps it's because George has trained ir...

Re: Little Details You May Have Missed

When Hyuga said in EoE during Unit 02 being dismembered by the Eva Series, "Berserker!", I always thought it was just some throwaway line that didn't mean a thing but only now when I saw it today and remembered all the times that Unit 01 went berserk did I finally see the light that Unit 0...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Today was episode 2 of Haganai NEXT which had the club watching a homoerotic film as well as the introduction of Maria's big sister Kate with whom they seem to not get along for the moment. Best scene hands down is when Sena reads out loud the lewd scene from her video game in the laptop and the bee...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

I took a gander at the first episode of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas on Netflix and I got to say I am impressed enough to keep going. I saw it English dubbed and I could've sworn I heard Michelle Ruff's unmistakable voice when Pandora spoke but I was wrong, I checked ANN and it was revealed to be Cr...

Re: Berserk

I finally saw the third Berserk Golden Age film and let's just say the first 20 minutes offer the glimmer of hope while from then onwards is an express elevator down to the deepest pits of Japanese hell! I feel so sorry for Casca being literally driven into insanity while Guts loses an arm and an ey...

*deep sigh* Well, it was quite the journey but i am finally done with Cowboy Bebop the TV series! Viewed the final episode recently and it pulled all the stops in tragedy and euphoria. Spike losing the woman he loves and everyone else close to him from the past is a bummer but him saying his goodbye...

Cowboy Bebop episode 24 As much as I wish that Ed and Ein hadn't left the Bebop permanently to follow Ed's deadbeat dad, it was such a moment that hit in the feels as well as Faye rediscovering her past as well but having no home to go to. :sniffle: The use of the song "Call Me Call Me" b...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Episode 6 of Tenchi Muyo OVA. Because I have seen it millions of times, it didn't leave much effect on me until I saw the credits and really studied the images that I can't believe it took me until today to figure out they were recaps of the first six episodes in drawing form. I am so slow!!! :facep...

Digimon Adventure tri: Determination I had it in my possession for months without a complete view of it's English dub and finally I sat through it. I have to admit there were parts of the dub that made me cringe like the military guy and Izzy sounding like he was enunciating some words but there we...

In my rewatch of Eureka SeveN I have just overtaken you :) Cool! ^_^ I finished watching the film Redline directed by Takeshi Koike. What I love most about it besides the soundtrack is that it dealt with behind the scenes politics and such as well as the racing action but at the end of the day, it'...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Ep. 15 of Eureka Seven was so so filler where once again Eureka is dense in human matters but it did offer a glimpse into Renton's killer instinct with the Nirvash which complicates his relationship with Eureka. Have to see where this goes.

Re: News of Anime in Japan

*deep sigh* Seems like the concept of true love among seiyuu is a thing of the past since before this unfortunate news of Yukino Miyazawa and Bellri Zenam calling it quits, Spike Spiegel and Lacus Clyne split as well :sniffle: . https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2018-08-09/voice-actors-atsuk...
