Re: FML general thread [8]

My cat passed away in the night today. I was already prepared for it. I'm just happy I was with him for a week before he died. When I was excavating in Tavira, I was afraid he'd already be dead when I came back. Clint had a good life. And thank you to all of you that hoped for his recovery. It made ...

Re: FML general thread [8]

Well, my cat still hasn't recovered and euthanasia is now a serious possibility. If it does come to that I'll be there, I have to. There is still a chance he might recover, but I'm now more prepared if he doesn't. It'll hurt, but it'll be okay. Also, writing this makes me feel better, so there's that.

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

Back from the excavation and it was really cool. I'd never dug in a roman city before(nor have most archaeologists) and it was a pretty awesome experience. There's going to be more excavations there in the next two years so I'll definitely be coming back to Balsa! We also got mildly famous over ther...

Yeah, I'm hoping for the best. He's had a similar liver problem a few years back and he recovered, so he should be alright.

Re: FML general thread [8]

Well, my cat is sick, liver problems caused by something, we're not sure what. He didn't eat, barely moved. My father and I had had to take him in a bike, that wasn't fun. Still, he's in the vet now and is going to stay there for some time. It's best that way, if he stayed home he would have just sl...

Re: Official "Hello/Goodbye" Thread!

Tomorrow I'm going to dig stuff in Aveiro, so I'll be gone for some time.

It's cool that I managed to see the 10 minutes of the final Rebuild film before leaving.

I'll be seeing you all at the end of July. Have fun discussing Evangelion stuff.

It was okay. I still don't like the CG but whatever. And I still don't care about Mari.

I'm sure the movie is going to be good but these 10 minutes were just okay.

Re: Currently playing 4: Guns of the Patriots

Phantasy Star II : Phantasy Star is now best know for the Online games, but in the old days it was a simple RPG franchise. I had this game in the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection that I've owned for many years, but back when I first tried it, its complexity and difficulty scared me away. Only no...

Re: Gundam (In All Its Incarnations) Mk. II

Gundam NT : I don't know how to feel about the Newtypes in this one. It definitely feels like a continuation of Unicorn, but I have no idea how they plan to make this end up connecting with F91 and Victory, witch feel way different when it comes to all the newtype stuff. These concerns aside, it's ...

Season over(mostly), come on! Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san : A magical fox girl pleases an overworked and miserable salary man. It's supposed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy but it mostly just infuriated me that the protagonist just ignores all the reasons for his problems and just lets the fox...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Well, there are a few other anime series about music around. Yeah, I've got to give a look to some of them. There's also Kids on the Slope, by Watanabe, witch deals with Jazz. I haven't seen it yet. I am watching Carole and Tuesday(trough not exactly legal means) and yeah, it's okay. I wish I actua...

Beck : An anime about a kid meeting a bunch of cool and weird people and making a band and all the challenges that come with that. It was directed by that infamous director that did episode 4 of Gurren Lagan. I haven't seen that episode but I have seen the episode he did for Dororo and the episode ...

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

his film will be moreso an adaptation of the manga storyline than the '88 film . Unless the movie is over 3 hours long that ain't happening. Even 4 hours is probably too little unless they have masters of script writing and editing in their team. Boy do I look forward to see Akira with absurd amoun...

A couple of days ago there was a celebration in Coimbra related to their academic week. Since my sister is studying there, she thought we should go to her, watch the festivities and then bring her back with us, since she has no classes all week. Made sense. From my time in Évora I knew that the part...

Re: News [NO POLITICS]

It seems the older stained glass windows survived, it's the 19th century glass that is most damaged. Despite it being younger, I do hope they repair these younger ones has well, I'd hate to see them replaced with those abstract designs that pop up in some churches.

Re: News [NO POLITICS]

I'm trying to be positive and hope the structure survives. Still, the stained glass is either lost or completely damaged, not to mention the various artworks inside that are too big to move. I feel depressed. I can't even image how the locals and art historians must feel. I was in Paris not that lon...

Re: Sarazanmai-New show by Ikuhara (Utena)

Well, having seen the first episode, I already like it more than the lesbian bear show. Still concerned with the tiny number of episodes, but maybe Yuri Kuma taught Ikuhara something about dealing with less time. And the animation is gorgeous so, even if isn't has good as Utena or Penguindrum it'll ...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Season over, lets go: Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita : Didn’t I see a very similar show last season? Yes, it’s another loli show where the protagonist is female. Compared to the anime that aired last season, this one is even tamer when it comes to fanservice. Most of the episodes are just: “character...
