Re: News [NO POLITICS]

It seems the older stained glass windows survived, it's the 19th century glass that is most damaged. Despite it being younger, I do hope they repair these younger ones has well, I'd hate to see them replaced with those abstract designs that pop up in some churches.

Re: News [NO POLITICS]

I'm trying to be positive and hope the structure survives. Still, the stained glass is either lost or completely damaged, not to mention the various artworks inside that are too big to move. I feel depressed. I can't even image how the locals and art historians must feel. I was in Paris not that lon...

Re: Sarazanmai-New show by Ikuhara (Utena)

Well, having seen the first episode, I already like it more than the lesbian bear show. Still concerned with the tiny number of episodes, but maybe Yuri Kuma taught Ikuhara something about dealing with less time. And the animation is gorgeous so, even if isn't has good as Utena or Penguindrum it'll ...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Season over, lets go: Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita : Didn’t I see a very similar show last season? Yes, it’s another loli show where the protagonist is female. Compared to the anime that aired last season, this one is even tamer when it comes to fanservice. Most of the episodes are just: “character...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

I think if it had been framed like the manga and you got to know the characters before they died the backlash might have been less. Having read the manga chapter where the rape happens I don't really see how it was any more focused on the victim. The anime seemed to adapt that scene faithfully. Has...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Speaking of horror, was it or was it not implied that "Sword maiden" murdered people ... to get attention towards the Goblins in her town? I got the impression that she let people die in the sewers in an indirect manner, but yes, I did also think that she murdered people to get Goblin Sla...

Season Over. It's hard to believe I've been keeping up with seasonal anime for nearly six years now. I must have too much free time. Ore Ga Suki Nano Wa Imouto Dakedo Imouto Ja Nai : Lets start of strong with the incest show of the season. If you ignore the animation issues this anime has it would p...

Re: Currently playing 4: Guns of the Patriots

Gradius II Interstellar Assault: Game from my childhood that I never managed to beat back then. It's know as one of the easier Gradius games, and with good reason. I can't even beat the second stage of Gradius III. The game is more beloved for the things it does differently from other Gradius games...

Re: SSSS Gridman - Studio Trigger (2018)

That was a good ending. Trigger delivers. The show was just solid all around. They even went all out with the animation for the final episode. And that final scene were Akane wakes up in real life? So good, I guess it happening isn't a very big surprise, but these switches to real life are rare ...

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

Remember that Gameboy game that was stolen from me? I sure do. With some help from my brother I found the game on the internet. It's not the one I had, obviously, but I care more about the games inside it than the specific piece of hardened plastic and circuits that contain them. I even went and had...

Re: Netflix: Ghost in the Shell - Sac 2045...

I don't mind that they try to develop 3D further. Compared to how much the 2D look has degraded in recent years 2D has degraded? I must be getting blind. I should clarify that part of the reason for my annoyance with the option to do this in 3D is that I personally watch anime partly because it's i...

Re: Cowboy Bebop

The more I hear about this show the more I feel like it's either going to be entertainingly awful, in a, watch youtube videos ripping it apart after it comes out way.. or it's going to be super mediocre. But being the soulless mass of sentient money that Netflix is, they're going to keep making thes...

^ man that sucks. Yeah. Frankly, I tried to just forget about the whole thing in the beginning, but it's been weeks now and I'm still not over it. I can't really tell how I got robbed. It was a uncomfortable and miserable situation and I'd rather just ignore that part. Game is Konami GB Collection ...

Re: FML general thread [8]

A few weeks ago a Gameboy game I had since I was a kid was stolen. So I looked for a new one on the internet. Turns out the game is semi rare. The few copies I found don't even ship to Portugal. I know it's just a piece of plastic with circuits in it. But it's a piece of plastic with a lot of memori...

Re: SSSS Gridman - Studio Trigger (2018)

A lot of the negative comments I've seen have been from people who seem on principle to abhor CG; Oh, yeah. Forgot that. The CG isn't awful, and I do like that the fight scenes use CG and 2D animation without it feeling too jarring. No CG would still be best, but it's hard to complain when it's use...

First episode is out and the first 2 reactions I saw were really negative. But there are two episodes out already? I'm liking it so far. I had zero expectations going in, and it's been impressing me. I'd seen Inferno Cop and Ninja Slayer before and those shows, while good, didn't really show off am...

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

I'm finally doing my Master's degree in archaeology after waiting for so long! I tried to enter last year but it opened almost nowhere in the country leaving me mostly staring at walls for the past year. But that's over now. After this is done, I'm done with studying for a long time. Just two more y...
