i fully agree, if it's good it's worth it. Like LOTR. It's really all about preference. As much as LOTR being fantastic movies, 3 hours is still draining for a lot of people. Personally, 1 hour 40 mins for Evangelion Q feels right to me, just so long as: 1) The story is told in whol...

Zhang Yimou, Christian Bale and the Rape of Nanking: http://youtu.be/MV5rw3oTJMw http://youtu.be/Vd_j7auMTFs I'm interested in seeing this one too myself. Apparently the movie is spurring controversy with some Japanese, similar to how Schindler's List did with the Germans when it came out. ...

CGI in and of itself is just a tool, and depending on its implementation can range from the utterly convincingly to the staggeringly fake. Not much different from practical effects in that regard. The techniques just have different capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, etc. With Thing 2011 , CG e...

What the hell!? That looks way better than the crap CG that we got from the final movie. Yeah, I do admit, some of the practical effects in the John Carpenter movie do look a little fake, but what Hollywood fails to realize is today's CGI makes EVERYTHING look fake.

I don't mind the new layout, in fact I prefer the new for my personal channel because it feels cleaner. Also, as a person who works in the media business professionally, I'm more comfortable in hosting my professional work on YT in the near future, whereas previously, I usually resulted to V...

I remember watching this on VHS as a kid. I didn't like it as much back then, but now looking back and rewatching some of it again is really nostalgic. Just like James' says, glad to have grown up in an age where television had balls.

Jonny Greenwood, or all of Radiohead together. Indeed. There Will Be Blood is one of my fav scores for a movie. Definitely would give Eva a really unique edge in emotional/psychological drama. But for a composer more for general mecha action, I always thought Norihiko Hibino , composer of Zone of t...

They're a less known group just starting off, but their reviews are quite good. Their Real Silent Hill Experience is probably the best analysis and review of the Silent Hill franchise online.
One of their members, Fungo, also does some reviews.

You know what I miss? The age of VHS and anticipating your favorite show to start on tv so you can start recording it. It gave you something to look forward to in the day. Also, I miss scan lines on your video whenever you rewind or fast forward. I miss sticking a VHS in and immediately watching the...
