Not a direct connection to Ramiel, perhaps, but it's similar in the "mechanics".

As for anti-AT fields, I count them as a type of AT field anyway.

I think Eva 13 does have an AT field, and it's what it uses to break through the barrier. Just before Kaworu and Shinji reach the barrier, we see a disk swap in the plug, I think what it does is program the AT field to perform differently, providing the capability to break through the barrier at...

Aren't the fields in the last one more likely being generated by the massive army of Evas?

That's pretty clear. He was dissolved in the entry plug of Unit 01 , which got sent into orbit. Wille needed Unit 01 to power the Wunder so they brought it back and restored Shinji.

I'm not sure suckup/butkisser is the right direction at all. Isn't "connections" more about implying that Mari has some mysterious backers?

Or "four-eyed favourite". Four-eyes itself might be a bit dated, but the alliteration makes it punny enough to work.

"Networking" is just completely incomprehensible, the first time I saw it was an overlooked autocorrection from something else.

Yeah, Misato's conflicting emotions are definitely noticeable. I'm even wondering if she didn't deliberately wait until Shinji was out of range when she pulled the trigger.

To revive this: There's a noticeable difference in the "texture" of the monoliths between the first two movies and the third one. In the first two, they appear smooth, with particles floating in them and a slow, steady pulse spreading from the middle outward. In 3.33, there's a sor...

I do wonder whether the silhouettes painted(?) on the disc imply there are actually contorted eva upper halves inside. The core placement doesn't match up, but whatever.
