There's really no reason to do such a thing. At all. I don't want them to do it either, considering it will probably just end up looking worse with worse animation.

A normal Blu-ray release is the best route. It's shot on film so it wouldn't be upscaled or anything like that.

I was expecting it to have better animation than EoE at least. But it doesn't.

The package for my 2.22 BD was pretty nice when it came out of the box but after opening it and watching it once the slipcover has multiple chips all over. Lame, guess Funimation couldn't afford quality paint.

From what I've read, animation for episode 10 (the episode with the best animation) was mostly outsourced to GoHands. And the animation quality outside of fights in every other episode seems very SHAFT to me.

C is probably going to be amazing, like everything else Kenji Nakamura has directed.

Earthsea is genuinely terrible by any standards. The only good thing in movie is the backgrounds.
