Downpour was just terrible. It had so much potential but from the monsters to the glitches it gets a 7/10. Shame, cuz part 2 and 3 get 9.5's. Oh yeah, don't waste money on the Remastered ones either. Turns out they couldn't even find the final version, so they had to use imperfect beta v...

Boris - Naki Kyoku. It's the first song that got me into Boris, but after buying a live dvd it just came back.

Super addicted to Boris now. Drove 9 hours to see them in Denton, TX and then went to Austin Psych Fest to see them again. It helps that every album is different but great in its own way.

You're just trolling. I have true passionate opinions, you just get annoyed by passion and like to fuck with people. I really hope people can see that and stop hating on my beliefs. Like I said, my intent was to give an example of someone I think is talented that no one in their right mind can s...

^^ You got a little something on your nose there Xard... ^ and Mugwump, at first your message seemed disrespectful, until I finished it. I'm not cliche like that, I am not a metal head. I do not wish to bring metal to any forefront, I don't even classify Dime as a "metal" guitarist...

that concept of "mainstream media" and its messages of conformity and no independent thinking though I grant every genre has its elitist/purist wing, metal as a genre generally gets the short shift in popular regard IMO, the reason both of these two have the regard they do are because Dim...

Xard is entirely right in his posts towards Eva 02. Sorry man, but you're being a victim of the moment. Like most, you have a major case of selectivity bias when it comes to matching the best music of yesteryear with pop music as a whole today. He says "there are no bands like Led Zep toda...

I thought it was Great Expectations . ^_^ In all seriousness, though, that's a good choice. I've always been more of a Mark Twain type of guy, but Charles Dickens is pretty good too. Ah yes, my bad. It has to do with the cover of the book saying"Good Expectations" on the app I rea...

I still enjoy the Tool demos. Opiate is always a great view on religion, and who could forget Jerk-off? Great song about misanthropy.

Hush always reaffirmed my view on artistic free speech.

I always liked Magma Diver. Even though Asuka looks awkward through half of it, I remember it as having the best suspense upon my first time watching it. When Misato is submerging the probe and it implodes.... Great Misato scene. Then when they are submerging Asuka and it's dead quiet except for...

Still reading "Groucho & Me," the first of Groucho Marx's autobiographies. Also, I picked up Dickens' "Good Expectations" after seeing the South Park episode adaptation of it and learning Pip was based on the protagonist from "Good Expectations." I always th...

^ Yeah, usually people say book-based movies suck. But you really have to see everything for what it is:' Grapes of Wrath - Critically one of the greatest movies of all times, but also.... one of the greatest books of all time??!! The Graduate - This poignant look into the late-60's "pe...

My problem wasn't that it was different, but that the second half of the game was just the first half all over again with a worthless AI tag along. Also the game just wasn't fun. Any game that feels like work is a bad game as far as I'm concerned. the "work" concept can be app...

Ummmmmmmmmm whaaaat  This didn't make any sense. Computers have been used in recording studio for ages. popular music was always about money and trashyness. You just remember the best bits from previous decades Sure, but was there such an influx of its use as today? Where every SINGLE pop ...

Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were in the same vein as Madonna. Gaga is different because it is an unholy fusion of past popular songs with the help of a computer which arranges a series of sounds that are appealing. Music used to be about jamming music that you feel in your soul, at least, ...

Throwback time! I recently bought the Ultimate Quake for PC. I'm halfway in to Quake I, and I now remember why I always thought it superior to Doom. Scarier monsters, awesome design. Music by Nine Inch Nails and the weapon of choice is the nail gun. I just hate how the series gravitated to cybor...

^ The point I was trying to make is that there isn't justice in the world, because only a handful of people would pay homage to Pantera over Gaga. Because what Gaga did, those who are at the helm of music supercorperations will continue to strive to replicate her success, by flooding the market ...
