randomly picking up Platinum Volume 01 cause it looked decent and was on offer for £5.

Psycho Busters is one i would recomend to anyone, good story and introduction, fair ammount of plot twist and such, and all round a good series.

Eva by far, since with eva you get the phantom pains from the combat, also you have to maneuver with the huge ass power cable, or finish a fight in a tiny time space. Whereas with gundams it is a matter of physical actions, and memory, whereas eva also take mental effort as well as physical to fight.
