I don't think DBZ has a good story, it seems like it just relies on tons of violence. I'm not sure what my favorite season would be, but probably season 1 or the cell saga. Dragonball has some rather interesting mythology references and a better story IMO. I liked parts such as Goku climbing...

No, because there's no scientific basis or archaeological evidence Mainstream archaeology says they didn't have light or electricity, yet batteries and tiny light bulbs were discovered. They couldn't have used fire because they wasn't enough oxygen in the pyramids. And if they someh...

@Ornette From what I understand there are only theories as to how the pyramids were made in Giza. So far archeologists have theorized that Egyptians used the 'conveyor belt system', using wood, which isn't practical because they didn't have wood in the first place. The second theory ...

It is simply foolish to think ancient civilizations could build things that would be impossible (or at least very difficult) for us today. The blocks of the pyramids are cut perfectly, which is not something they could have done - their tools were very basic. What's more, a stone black w...

I've seen Wing, Original, 08th MS Team, War in the Pocket, and Stardust Memory. I may watching Zeta sometime, but I don't care about watching G Gundam or any of the new ones such as 00 & Seed. Also: Wing was the 1st one I saw, it had powerful Gundams, and interesting characters such as T...

I vastly prefer the Japanese audio. I find the dub to be excruciating, and they almost never show anything in sub on TV. People like Johny Young Bosh don't even like anime and just do it for the money.

But it's also apparent that Anno may well have been aiming to do something like D&R/EoE all along, (originally as an OVA, but soon it became a movie project), bcause evidence is that work was going forward on it almost immediately after the original airing wrapped up. I believe the ...

NGE's TV Ending Budget

We've all heard rumors that Anno made the last 2 eps of NGE the way he did because of budget issues. Is this really true or did he choose to make the eps be more abstract intentionally?

I would not say "infinite". Saying that is like saying it's reasonable for someone to say Pokemon is a Freudian dream. So, the interpretation should be within reason.

Akira Ishida is one of the best voice actors I've heard in anime. I thought Kaworu was his best and his Shinobu Sensui Voice (YYH) was great too.

How much anime have you watched/how long

I've completed roughly 65 anime (I say roughly because there are some I can't remember). I started watching anime about 6 yrs. back but just got into anime about a yr. ago.

I've got to episode 14 and am enjoying it. The Zaibach empire subplot is really, REALLY good. In addition, the mecha are far better than I initially thought.

I watched it in English first, then Japanese. I liked the Japanese much better. I also remember references to NGE & Gundam in GTO. The crazed math teacher did the Gendo glasses movement. And during their vacation, Murai's room # was 0080, and he said "0080! Just like Gundam!" and &...
