Mark Hollis of Talk Talk has passed away. This one hurts as much as David Bowie for me.

Re: Ghostbusters (2020)

How about they just reboot the cartoon series? At this point, I'm just not gonna see any live action Ghostbusters movie unless Rick Moranis is in it. If they can get him in it, then it's probably a good script.

Re: What are you watching right now? (tv series + see OP!)

I'm in a weird place with the last two episodes. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not sure how I feel.

Pretty sure last nights episode of Twin Peaks might be the weirdest episode of any series to ever been aired

Re: So who here is into Samurai Jack?

I wish season 5 was 13 episodes instead of 10. The pacing felt off sometimes, and I would of liked
SPOILER: Show
to see more development in the relationship between Jack & Ashi.
Other than those things, I enjoyed Season 5.

Re: Shin Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla Resurgence)

Shin Godzilla coming to Blu-ray in the US on August 1st, 2017. No sign of a 4K Blu-ray release State's side, but I'll still get it. I really wish they would stop bloating Bluray releases with a needless DVD included. It's seems like they only do that to have an excuse to have the price be higher. I...

Re: What are you watching right now? (tv series + see OP!)

Since you brought it up the new Samurai Jack mini series premiere was awesome. I like how it emphasized how many hard choices he had to make to get where he is right now. t He still wants to help and he does. But he knows he can't save everyone, so he has to make hard choices. Jack at the start of ...

Re: Shin Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla Resurgence)

Forgot to post more information about the version on the net that's missing 20 minutes: The title screen has Godzilla Resurgence instead of Shin Godzilla. When I saw it in theaters, the title screen was Shin Godzilla. I assume that's what it was for everyone else, right? Which leaves me pondering: c...

Re: Shin Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla Resurgence)

This has apparently made an appearance online, but for some reason, 20 minutes are missing. Some scenes randomly cut. I have not personally watched what has surfaced online, this is just info I read on 4chan.

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

I agree with your assessment of what Count Olaf is supposed to be, and I also think Jim Carrey is a good pick for the role, but he should have cranked it down a couple notches, IMO. He probably needed a stronger director, and given that the existence of the film is probably entirely due to the Harr...

Re: Shin Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla Resurgence)

I enjoyed it, though in the theater I saw it in, I don't think they had the sound levels right. Didn't feel like I was seeing it a theater.

I didn't have any issues with the subtitles, though I am a fast subtitle reader.

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

I'm not as big of a Death Note fan as I used to be, but I can't help but look forward to watching the new Japanese sequel/spinoff even if it ends up turning out to be crap. Something about watching Death Note is just so enjoyable even when it's shitty, like the live action tv show or L Change The Wo...

Re: Shin Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla Resurgence)

So, I got my tickets, though for a second, I panicked because I thought I messed up. After ordering them, fandango told me there were only two ways of picking up my tickets: either bringing the credit card you ordered with (which is impossible because it's not my card. Someone decided to order these...
