Temporary Block on Registrations

EGF is currently weathering hostile action from an outside group. Until this storm has passed, the staff have instituted a block on the creation of new accounts.

Please be patient. :kaos_bow:

Yes -- mine. Everything else is still on Ornette's, so that means Ornette's server is down.

Re: Forum Wackiness

Weird issue with this post . The two posts of mine that I self-quoted are the only ones that link back to the original threads, but for some reason the link on the first Reichu quote decided to attach itself to the first DarkBluePhoenix quote instead. I have no idea why this would happen. Pretty da...

Re: Final Fantasy series

Just the other day I was playing FFXV and thought to myself, after losing a race to Gladio, "This doesn't matter in the end anyway". It backfired, because reminding myself of the bigger picture and especially the ending made everything I was doing feel like it didn't matter. The same day -...

Re: Issues with the search feature

Whoa. I didn't realize the search feature was so limited. If it's not sufficiently improved in the pending update that I never get around to, I'll investigate extensions/mods to make the search better. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

One extra click - go to your user control panel and select "manage notifications", the bottom option on the first tab - that lists them. That wasn't one extra click -- it was two, and a scroll! ...But it worked, so, thanks. What do you mean I installed and maintain this software, that doe...

Re: That's One Hell of an April Fool's Joke Guys!

It does have a practical problem with it, though: I can't check my notifications, because the dropdown is now a dropup that extends off the page!

To anyone not seeing the flipped banner and post profiles: Hit Ctrl+F5 (or at least that's what works on my Chrome and Firefox) to refresh your browser cache.

Re: Restructuring subforums suggestion

We took some time backstage to come up with a new forum structure incorporating suggestions from this topic. We present it here for public comment. Further suggestions are welcome. The proposed reorganization is as follows. The bolded names are categories, not actual boards, and the names preceded b...

(note the deliberate placing of Discussion before Chit-Chat, just as Off-Topic come after the Eva topics) Niiice. I like it. I like it a lot. Here are the ideas I've seen put forth ITT that I like: * Putting Discussion above Chit-Chat. * Renaming "Evangelion Discussion" to clearly indicat...

Re: The Legend of Zelda series

My feelings on Breath of the Wild are... strongly mixed. Though I've played it for "240 hours or more" at this point, and am still playing and enjoying it, there's so much about it that irks me that I almost like it more as an object of study than as a game. To wit: * You get a huge number...

Re: Forum Wackiness

Been using win7 so far, bought a new laptop with win10 earlier this week. Fresh install of Chrome doesn't show the site properly. Namely, all the non-avatar images are missing: no icons, no background images, not even the banner at the top is shown. I looked into the pages' HTML code, delved into t...

Re: Forum Wackiness

I recently signed up for me to be notified by e-mail when I receive a message. I did get a message, but there was no corresponding e-mail. I double checked my user control panel, which has the correct mark and I checked through the spam section of my e-mail, and there was nothing. What's going on? ...
