Sounds an awful lot like SEELE could be inspired by the New World Order theory the conspiracy theorists have been spouting for decades. Go to any conspiracy website (particularly one run by Alex Jones), a shocking amount of people believe it, the only thing that really defeats it is common s...

Gendo as a character

How do you guys view Gendo Ikari as character? Is he like Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Star Wars or Harvey Dent/Two Face in The Dark Knight : a once decent human being who was hurt so deeply that he became a monster? Or is he more like Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood : a manipulative, con...

Eh, Burton's a very good director when he wants to be, but yeah, when adaptating other people's work, with the exception of Big Fish, he usually fails. Planet of the Apes was an abomination. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sucked. His Batman films were both messes, fun messes, but messes w...

My Newest Movie: Little Red Riding Hood

I haven't been here for a while, just figured I'd pop back and plug my newest creation, a super politically incorrect adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood which I am filming over the next month. A teaser trailer I edited together at 3 AM last night: http://www.kojiroabe.com/films/redteaser.w...

CTFD, man. I love the original Star Wars movies. Hell, I even like Revenge of the Sith (I just don't love it due to Hayden Christensen's ASStrocious acting and the fact that parts of it look like a fucking Nintendo game). I just think CGI is kind of a cop out. I miss the days when pe...

I would hate to see Peter Jackson dirrecting the Eva movie. LOTR was shit. And I'm not just saying this because he messed with the story, but because they really were crap. The only redeming quality they had was good music. As far as I'm concerned, all Jackson is good for is ruining stuff. ...

Fuck George Lucas. Revenge of the Sith was alright, but the first two prequels are atrocious and Lord of the Rings leaves all three films completely in the dust. If he had just made the prequels it wouldn't have been too bad, as we could have just forgotten all about them, but he had to go back ...

Peter Jackson

Okay, people, after seeing King Kong, I AM NOW THROUGLY CONVINCED. Peter Jackson MUST direct this film(s). Not only would he create one of the incredible visual experiances ever but he would also focus quite a bit on the characters and their internal strife as well. He's great with actor...

Peter Jackson's King Kong has been added to my list (along with the original, which I finally rewatched).
