Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

Yeah, I totally forgot about that side of things with regards to FoS. Yeah, I am not the biggest fan of that type of censorship and its worse when you get an SJW stepping in. Theres out of line and an opinion of what someone would think of and then someone getting triggered especially when they are ...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

Can forum admins legally censor your posts for stuff like swearing? I personally think that censoring people is wrong and a violation of freedom of speech. A forum that I'm no longer participating in censors users' posts for swearing and I personally don't think it's right. please feel free to corr...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

I am a little too dedicated to my Facebook page for my own good. Nearly hundreds of times I have tried to delete my account but all it does is give me the same BS 14 day waiting period until it finally shuts the page forever by which I will have found some excuse to put the page back on. It drives ...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

. At least here is a good place to come, the conversation's good, and the people are friendly. Part of the reason I stick my head in once every few months. Yeah I never jumped on tumbler or a lot of other sites. I have twitter purely for my writing projects so I don't see any of the toxic crap. Lol...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

Hope I'm not too late to the party. Been finding social media a real pain in the arse. I ended up removing fb from my phone, only keeping the chat. I feel the pain you feel. My news feed needs to come with a trigger warning. At times I want to jump ship but just don't know what. The hardest part is ...

Re: Cold Heart - What happened After Re-Take

So I have finally finished the story and the feedback I had gotten has been awesome. Final word count for the 2nd draft was 125K words. This is where I had to make the tough choice, splitting the book into two. So now I have "The strangers before me" and "The strangers behind me" ...

Think there has been a push for it for a while. Given super Nova has just been and the presence they had there its probably got something to do with it

Got knocked off my bike on the way home tonight. 150kg landing in your right foot don't feel the best. Luckily no damage to my bike. Taxi drove into me when I was stopped. Said it was okay because his indicator was on.

Re: FML general thread [8]

So question for everyone. I am currently writing the last few chapters of my book. I just had to kill off one of the characters but three quarters of the way through the chapter I began to feel sorry for her. What I was doing and what was happening. She ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time....

Re: Pictures Thread 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance

Had to drive down to Canberra this morning for a mates funeral. Needed to leaver pretty early and spent most of the drive in heavy fog on the Hume. My dash-cam unfortunately packed it in, otherwise I would have had some good shots but took these once the fog finally cleared around lake George. Quali...

Re: Cold Heart - What happened After Re-Take

Bit of an update now. Spoken to a publisher and have interest so I have almost completed the manuscript now and will be sending it off to an editor shortly. its Interesting experience looking for an editor to say the least. I have received a number of quotes from a number of different editors across...

Re: FML general thread [8]

It refuses to be flat. I just discovered that it's not actually rectangular so part of the problem has been I've been trying to get two sides parallel to the wall when one must be crooked no matter what. I have a similar issue with one of mine upstairs. Solution I nailed it to the floor because the...

Cold Heart - What happened After Re-Take

Hey all, I am posting here as this is probably the best place I can think of to explain a few things and what the grand plan in with it. Cold Heart - The boring 9 years of work to get to now. So all the oldies on here will remember the Re-Take project and the failure it was. Long story short... Time...
