They should give explanations for the weird unexplicable things... Generally, in a series, all the mysteries are revealed and explained by the end of the serie... But in Evangelion, nothing' s explained... Why in one of the movie (don' t remember which one, it' s been a long time...

Well, I suppose I should post something that is on topic. This point was brought up before by Dr. Nick, but I'm still wildly confused about how anyone could have started with a discussion about a minute or so long scene in 24', that had multiple cuts, wasn't constrained by money or time,...

I always thought the fire would like, climb up the gasoline stream, into the gas can, and blow up, lighting Desslock on fire, if ya did that Unless there is enough oxygen in the gas can (which is unlikely), it won't combust. However, since gasoline fumes is pretty combustible, Desslock ...

I'm pretty sure the writing just describes what the scene is supposed to look like, specifically, the notable details, perhaps for the animators. I'm sure it's not saying that they were actually having sex. I don't know what the text says, but 上 = above. EDIT: got someone to l...

There was a thread in evageeks that discussed the possibility of this being a warped flashback, meaning that it's possible they did get it on at some point in the past.

The scene happens right after the sandbox sequence during the Pre-3rd Impact weird Instrumentality thing, the first shot is a super pissed off (naked) Asuka screaming at Shinji about how pissed off she is, then a shot of Shinji underneath her saying that it's because she's just like ...

I have a very dry sense of humor. I thought the 'And the Understatement of the Year Award goes to...' bit was very fitting, considering how often people scrutinize every little detail in Evangelion. He asked if he was examining too much into something, I saw an opportunity to segue into my ...

That was in no way my intent. I was trying to figure out what fuels the phenomenon, why Evangelion is so popular, why people analyze it so fervently. I am not criticizing anyone for watching/enjoying the show; I am trying to understand why so many flock to Eva and hold it in such high regard/examin...

@AA: Yikes, I didn't mean to bring anything up about your particular argument against Adam being female. I just remember a lot of external references, specifically in biology, being thrown around in that area (Seele08 comes to mind for some reason), and I didn't feel like digging aro...

Now, I am not aiming this at anyone here since I am not familiar with this place: From my experience on the Internet, it seems to me that very few people (critics of NGE, fans of NGE, academics, non-academics) actually get what a powerful, unifying theme this is, and even fewer care about w...

Where are these from??? Does anyone know? I always thought Evangelion would make a good supernatural high school anime/manga. Plus, Shinji with a gun!!! Shin Seiki Evangelion Gakuen Datenroku, serialized in Asuka magazine (no relation to Asuka Langley Sorhyu). Fantasy Highschool setting. ht...
