As for what I mean, from what I can gather Debian doesn't come with drivers for wireless internet by default, hence why I'm having to install it. That's kind of a broad statement and I'm not sure exactly where you're running into trouble, but Debian does come with support for ma...

If I remember correctly, stuff in /sbin like modprobe isn't on the $PATH in Debian, which is why it isn't being found. modprobe had better be on your system -- it's pretty important to the kernel. Ubuntu, on the other hand, adds /sbin to the default $PATH. Another thing to note is that i...

This kind of blows my mind. How can you make close to a million dollars off of a song for a show, but never say to yourself, "Man, this show is really popular, and made me a lot of money, I wonder what the fuss is about?". William Shatner has never watched most of Star Trek. The informati...

Starting to see a bit more attention in the media; a nice retrospective article on Peanuts' past and possible future.

In Japan, you can go shopping in "Snoopytown" stores, which is pretty telling. (They have some neat Japan-only merchandise, though, I have to say).

If a public figure says something at a public or semi-public event, and someone records it, even surreptitiously, it's highly unlikely that said figure would be able to use copyright, contract, or wiretap law to get it removed from the public record; it would be considered in the public interest...

^ Excuse me, but if the maximum usage is 4Gb, people want to make use of that 4Gb. Not 1Gb. Not 1 Gb of 4 Gb and then slower speeds. 4Gb. Not 1Gb. I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying, or maybe I'm understanding what AT&T was fined for. Again, T-Mobile is very transparent...
