Re: Celebrity RIP Thread

Baron Clement von Franckenstein.

Franckenstein’s first role on camera, improbably, was as an extra in Mel Brooks’s spoof Young Frankenstein (1974).

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

So I tried -- and didn't pick up -- a couple of this season's meme titles. Senko-san -- apart from the feeling that anyone who writes code like this http://thumbs2.imagebam.com/55/99/e5/07f7b91241221574.jpg is undeserving of a fox-loli mother-wife, it just leaves me wondering how many sarariman in d...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

A bit more backlog watching in this dead season; as well as Chemlixa (as noted above), I've watched Beatless -- or at least the first and last half dozen episodes of same, and Fune wo Amu . Beatless fuses magical girlfriend and magical girl, in a mix of Chobits without the sexuality meets Nanoha wit...

In this case, while having the effect of bringing the headline membership count on the front page back to something closer to reality, the main point was to make it easier to spot throwaway accounts created just for the purpose of link spamming.

Trouble is that the links from the front page all 404, and the current front page is the same as it was 15 years ago -- https://web.archive.org/web/20040329131 ... egeek.org/ -- so there's no information about what''s going on now.

All-new World of Thighs Photography exhibition opens in Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood this month . The exhibition’s run will straddle the abdication of Japan’s Emperor Akihito and the ascension of Crown Prince Naruhito, and as such will be the final World of Thighs event of the Heisei imperial peri...

Re: Sarazanmai-New show by Ikuhara (Utena)

Isn't there that one pop idol girl character? There are some female family members, but they're only slightly more relevant than the boys in any magical girl's class at school. Sara, the idol, has been shown with a kappa form, similar to Keppi's, and there are oblique hints about things in general ...

Yes, that was an interesting film. My reaction at the time was that it was rather like a spaghetti Western but set in the English Civil War.
