Re: [GAME] Neon Genesis Evangelion 2: Another Cases

The hosting site seems to be full of malware (my antivirus blocked at least one), and on top of that the download button (the "real one") does nothing for me (though it did say I could have the download if I put a very nice toolbar on my browser fi-- HAH, GET REAL). A quick search indicate...

These are the two files to modify: https://github.com/rezual/nge_2_re/blob/master/game_app/section_data_translate.py and https://github.com/rezual/nge_2_re/blob/master/game_app/section_rodata_translate.py Finally took a look. I'm not seeing any way to make edits. I don't know if you need to give me...

If the thread has nowhere to go but wildly off-topic, I'm going to assume that the original question has been answered and that we're done.

Re: What's with the trippy reflective rainbow slip cover on some copies of 1.11?

There might (also) be something funny about the rights surrounding FMttM itself. I say this because a few years back I tried uploading a video of the credits sequence for NGE2, which has the standard full-length NGE version of FMttM playing throughout. It was restricted to viewing in Japan only.

Re: Are the Failures of Infinity alive?

Could be tied into the speculation about Kaworu returning not so much as Kaworu but as the soul of Eva-13. So even though Kaworu tells Shinji that they'll meet again, all of the cryptic talk about how people's memes outlast them could effectively mean, "This is the last time you'll see me as I ...

Re: METALBUILD EVA 01 (rumor)

Ritsuko was referring to the changes happening right before our eyes: pseudo-evolution into a Radiant Giant. Casting aside its humanoid shape, it's now regaining its original form. Breaking free of humanity's grip, it's transforming itself into a divine entity. Inside the huge swells of complementar...

Mentions Anno and the assistant directors going over NGE cut by cut during Jo's production. Assume it had something to do with them seeing how many of the show's resources could be put toward the film.

Re: METALBUILD EVA 01 (rumor)

They kept Unit 01 armored for a reason. Wille left the pylons on the Mark.04s they've been using as energy sources as well. I don't think it was because they planned on sending them into battle at any point. Eva-01 was fully restored before Wille got their mitts on her, and removing the armor is cl...

Re: [GAME] Neon Genesis Evangelion 2: Another Cases

Most of what's going on in here is complete gibberish to me so I can be of no use, but curious -- any chance of getting a rip of the in-game graphics? You posted some examples, so it looks like it's doable.

is it for valentines day or something?

Yes. (Says "Happy Valentine!" -- in hiragana, for no obvious reason.)

Re: Are the Failures of Infinity alive?

Lilith's body and head exploded into LCL, while the failures are just fine. What link? By the way, the question of who decapitated Mark.06-Lilith is unclear At risk of stating the obvious: the Mark.06-Lilith fusion we see becomes possible precisely because Lilith got decapitated, which makes Mark.06...

When I said "them", I meant the FoIs. (Was repeating a point I made at the beginning of the thread, just with the actual term fished from the script this time.)

Re: Are the Failures of Infinity alive?

In NGE, I’m pretty sure that it was possible (though perhaps not ideal) to clone Evas - after all, the Evas themselves are clones of Adam (or Lilith in 01’s case). I think what Juan meant was: "Unless they either ditched the idea of having a human 'soul' in the Evas or made it possible to clon...

One of the four Spears at the South Pole was the Spear of Cassius. (It's the one with the non-coiled shaft.) It was blown to the Moon along with the Adam that was turned into Mark.06.

Re: I'm scripting a film that's supposed to be revenge on American filmgoers

Am I just a crazy person attacking people for liking things I don't like? That'll definitely limit the value of your own work. You'd be better off operating on multiple levels. You say "inspired by Evangelion", so embrace that. Anno's criticisms came from a place of deep personal understa...

Re: Kaji's fate

Well, don't they last an indefinite time in the chamber of Guf before use? That's not quite the same as souls lasting an indefinite amount of time under regular conditions (e.g., sitting around in a rotting carcass on the material plane). And the background of Buddhist reincarnation surely requires...
