Re: FML general thread [8]

I've just been rejected from a girl who i really loved, not only as a woman but as a person, and she was very well disposed towards me,but i lost the occasion by overthinking the approach, and making her into my "romantic friend",which is a fixation of mine. In the meanwhile, she got tired ...

Re: Imaginary Audience and the AT Field

I always had this "Imaginary audiences" but not because of social ineptitude, in fact,it's always when i'm alone that i feel watched, and sometimes followed.

Re: Grand unifying theory of Evangelion: Gendo the Janitor

Didn't Fuyutsuki mentioned in an episode, of his supposed economic background? Also, this theory doesn't explain Gendo determination and attitude of a leader, which is something you don't expect from a humble janitor.

Re: FML general thread [8]

Life seems of little value to me, right now. For starters, it seems like i've lost any ability to connect with people,WHATSOEVER.Having conversations is not a problem for me,but, due to the environment of my workplace, (which constitutes 90% of all my interactions with people) they've become progress...

"Wild strawberries" by Ingmar Bergman, absolutely unforgettable, very poetic and sentimental, not in a frivolous way.

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2

The thing about these interpretations is that they are all informed to some degree or another by Frank Miller (arguably, BvS is just an elaborate bit of mummery to bring the Superman/Batman fight from TDKR to the screen, context be damned) who wrote a series of comics where Batman is unabashedly, e...

I strongly recommend "Ping Pong". Even more so, if you don't like sport animes.

Re: What You Did NOT Like About Evangelion

I sort of agree with that. Wouldn't you count Kaji then? Heh, maybe.Even Ritsuko or Gendo ,to some extent. I never could get on board with their personalities, though. This anime is not about heroism. It's about losing something, and (wanting to) reclaiming it. I'm ok with that. It's like Attack on ti...

Right now? Yes,at least partially, so the ones who don't get entangled will observe and learn about this phenomenon.

An "Instrumental" Instrumentality, so to speak..

Re: What are your other favorite anime?

I prefer the old stuff,Saint seya, Fist of the North star,Mononoke ecc. ecc.. My gut feeling is that animes are becoming progressively more "mundane" as time goes on,and are leaving behind all the "magical" themes, unless it's for comic purposes. There are exepctions of course, bu...

It was because of his "old school anime" status. Not what i expected, but regardless, it gave me a lot to meditate to.

I dislike the fact that no character is an hero, but then again, you could say the same thing about every modern anime.

Re: Who else is de-sensitized?

End of Evangelion was pretty melancholic, but the final scene was positive to me, to some extent. Wheter it was unconscious or not, Shinji rejected Instrumentality, as a false forme of trascendence, thus giving humanity another chance at starting back up. This is very anti-hedonistic, contrary to wha...
