Re: FanFiction Requests/Recommendations/Discussion etc.

The idea of the pilots being in their early twenties appeals to me as well. I have written them in there twenties I think it give you much more scope to do more things as your not limited by the school narrative and you can show the reader there homes inner lives even pets and there hobbies yet sti...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

It's easy to get caught in that 'heat of the moment' demand to throw something out there. I've done it, too. Emotions are really a devil for us in that respect. I confess I've done this and tumblr makes that easy because your given clip bait and you know its a knee jerk reaction when you press that...

Re: From Your Lips to the Author's Ears: Story Ideas

Tommy meets Asuka. Asuka and Tommy play on a slide. Tommy and Asuka go home. Okay now that you've had your little snark hows about you give the story you said you could do a try? I personally wouldn't write your idea because I respect my limitations as a writer, I know there are certain works I cou...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

Some things never die on the Internet, and it's why you have to be so careful in what you post. It's what makes Facebook so insane to me: people have to own everything they say, and some of the things they say there are absolutely shocking. Under their own names! Not to go to much in to politics bu...

Re: FanFiction Requests/Recommendations/Discussion etc.

I wonder if a good fic, with all the wonderful mad science, twisted possessiveness, hidden motives, and the Thing in the Basement aspect of the Phantom could be woven together using the characters of Eva. It doesn't have to be an 'opera' story, but you could pull together a good, old-fashioned, tra...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

My thoughts exactly when I heard about things unfolding  (The worst was feeling there was no way I could alleviate that situation, either. People are going to do what they do, unfortunately.) One of the smartest lines some one ever said to me regarding online was. " Go away for a few...

Re: From Your Lips to the Author's Ears: Story Ideas

Any two stories can compliment each other if told the right way. The stories themselves aren't ingredients, they consist ingredients. I disagree a story is like a cooking a meat stew and your ingredients need to be really good as does your gravy, you need to put thought and time in to your plot lin...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

@ PrincessAsuka When it comes to shipping and fandoms, this is my one slight annoyance that I mentioned earlier: I will say it's pure hell to have rare pairs, especially when they're actually canon in your franchise of choice :crybaby: @ SilverMoonlight : That's a very interesting thought psycholog...

Even though I love Sailor Moon it's fandom is one of the worst I've ever seen. You've got people arguing over dub vs sub and people picking apart the anime frame by frame and subtitle by subtitle. And then you have certain older fans who have this snotty stuckup we've been fans longer so we're bett...

Regarding mental health and all that, I know a popular thing on Twitter is to have locked vent accounts. I dabbled in one once to chat with some close friends (rather than vent) but I saw sooo much ridiculous fandom drama and unpleasantness "behind closed doors" from some other accounts t...

silvermoonlight: Mh, EGF is such a blessing compared to those other sites, huh? About shipping overall, maybe it is just an age thing? When I was younger I was a lot more...hardcore in my viewpoint (Heck if I know why. General fandom defensiveness about MAH FAVORITES!11!, maybe??) , but these days ...

Life's too short for that. Why would anyone want to waste time on such frustrations? I can't remember who it was, but someone threw some Asuka/Rei stories my way: I don't ship the two of them, but the stories were cute, and funny. I can appreciate that! Or, you know...say a ship I prefer doesn't pa...

People take a weird...possessiveness of these characters, and any deviation from that possession is threatening. It's almost like they treat the characters as extensions of themselves, and any attack on that idealized concept of the character becomes a personal attack. The best example of that I ca...

I see no problem with multishipping, and I don’t see how anyone could. I mean... they’re fictional characters, who cares what ships or how many ships a person has? Yeah that's why it was such a shock for me because as much as I love the Eva characters I know there not real and I see them as works o...

Is it just the Eva fandom on Tumblr that does this? Everybody keeps talking about the toxic Tumblr atmosphere, and people on Tumblr talk about it, but I have never encountered it. Are there certain fandoms that do this? I'm not asking sarcastic questions, I am genuinely confused by this. I tried to...

SSD : I agree and this was one of the reasons I threw in the towel on tumblr some years ago because of the toxic nature of the place like I just hate how they ruin fandom over there and I heard about the Steven Universe thing which was terrible. I think though that social media itself has become ver...

My first to tistics test of the semester is tomorroww. I come back to my house after a day of studying. My cat has utterly destroyed my supply of toilet paper. The entire living room is lined from wall to wall shredded toilet paper. If this keeps up I think I might have to give him to so...

I was just joking, I really don't to write that story, although it would give me a good laugh if it was turned into a romantic comedy No offence intended but this thread is for fun and serious story thoughts its not for clickbait ideas that are insincere and there to get a reaction out of others. :...
