Re: [NEWS] Neon Genesis Evangelion coming to Netflix Spring 2019

I've been digging a bit in the anime community here in Italy and the off mic word from those within the industry is that the redbub is happening mainly for time reasons, as Netflix has a very strict schedule to put the stream out for Spring and dealing with countless other parties (190 nations isn'...

Re: Godzilla & Kaiju General!

The original teaser trailer (which must have some some rights issue or something, because it's been removed from the Internet which shouldn't be possible) for Godzilla 2014 was better than the actual film. Yeah I remember that teaser it was better than the film you had the Oppenheimer words while y...

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Gremlins 1984 Because you can't beat an anti Christmas classic and years on I still feel this film is a work of art, with a perfect balance of seriousness, violence, humour and black comedy and Stripe is still one of the most brilliant monster villain's put to film. Though if your looking for simil...

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Ralph Breaks The Internet Okay so its not as good as the first one but its a good solid effort though flawed in a few places but worth seeing. I think the visuals of the web in this rock there clever smart and fun and show just why the Emoji Movie never got it, the flaw really is in Ralph and Vanel...

Re: FML general thread [8]

Yeah, you're right. My most recent ex was way too much for me to handle. Anyhow, despite me and my sister being adults we still live at home. We both have Asperger's and other issues, so we're not normal adults. Okay this makes more sense of your situation. I will admit that I do bully my sister, c...

Re: FML general thread [8]

I'm pissed off at my dad for giving into my mom by letting her get a real Christmas tree again. You know Xmas is about having a good time so, so what if your mum wants a real tree. my parents keep enabling my sister by letting her talk on the phone with and facebook messenger and even hang out with...

Netflix Rights and Redub

So Netflixs have the ADV rights to Evangelion and the EOE and death and rebirth movie but they want to do a redub (With out the original cast) https://comicbook.com/anime/2018/11/30/neon-genesis-evangelion-netflix-dub-rei-voice-actor-comments/ What's everyone thoughts on this? As to me without the o...

Re: Transformers: We Deserve Better Than Michael Bay

The underage girlfriend was a dig at the audience of adults demanding that a children’s cartoon cater to them. The movies actively despise their audience. That reminds me of how Anno made the hosbital scene in EOE a direct jab at the otaku but in both cases it has the opposite effect and implies ye...

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

They should make a live action Bambi where the hunter is the main character and the forest creatures enact a slow, grinding revenge until they finally goad him to carve himself into a blood angel as atonement for his sin. When you said that all I could think of was this haunting piece of fanart. ht...

Lion king Live Action.

Okay so like Aladdin this proberbly a scene for scene re-rash but I gotta to say this the closest I've seen CGI come to making animals really look like real animals.

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

If everything goes right, I should have a new house by February/March next year :D (Our bid was accepted.) No upstairs neighbours, close to 25 square meters larger than my current apartment, previously owned by an old lady and in meticulous state, and at least 30 minutes closer to my work. Congratu...

I agree with that I was completely discounting that from the hallow list as it was a think of beauty, should have added that note in my above post. ^_^

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Like all the post Toy-Story 3 Pixar sequels*, I found Incredibles II to be perfectly enjoyable but empty. Like Monsters University, Finding Dory & Cars 3, the second Incredibles isn't a bad movie but it's one that has zero staying power and lacks that Pixar magic. It's pure Commerce Pixar and n...

Apparently - - it's their (02 and 09) first exchange in 3.33 on Wunder's hull with a flashback cut to their (00 and 02) phone "conversation" from 2.22. This site helped me a great deal. I can only hope though that Google Translate was not wrong. Google Translate is always wrong. Th...

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Incredibles 2 You know when you watch something and oh what could this have been, if some one had just tried harder? If you'd just given it 100 percent and 60 that's sadly what this film is and its such a tragedy. I knew it could never top the first which I consider one of the best super hero films...

I once had half a front tooth break off while eating fries... In other news, P-N appears to be off his meds again and cranky as hell. And P-N-Girlfriend is back, spending her time vacuuming their apartment (for hours) and having (loud) sex with P-N  . Oh well, perhaps soon some new people...

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

Well, I always loved the Sherlockian angle he took with the story, and the change in profession for Crane from school teacher to police constable. It made the story far more enjoyable, and the movie really benefitted from that change. Also giving the back story that the leads mother died of witch c...

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

Once upon a time it was a joy to go "Full Burton" but the days of Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns & Big Fish have long past. Besides a failure of imagination - I haven't checked but I think he's the reigning king of adapting/remaking already famous works, i.e. Here's Tim Burton's ...
