Names Miss Dreamy, I am am artist/cartoonist who has a huge hyperfixation of Evangelion (out of all of the things I show love to, it has to be an anime about depression and giant fighting robots lol)
Please do not hate me but my favorite character is Shinji Ikari, you don't know how many times I have gotten the comment "I found a rare Shinji fan" over the year, I get it everyone hates him but my stupid dumb little brain just likes him okay? You want to hear my reasons? Maybe another time lmao

Anyway this isn't the first time I joined a forum before, I am also in the Wario Forums so this isn't my first rodeo haha

So yeah, I hope to enjoy my time here and keep in mind I have a dumb little brain

My name is digital_ritual and I’ve been an anime/manga fan for over 10 years now. Detective Conan & FMA were my intro into it.

Does anyone 1. Have all the manga volumes? 2. Do you prefer the storyline in the manga to the 26 episode anime? What are your thoughts on End Of Evangelion? What about THAT scene with Shinji and Asuka? I’m interested in what everyone thinks. Also what is your favorite Angel and why?

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm an old Evangelion fan, having watched the first episode as a freshman back in a high school anime club back in 1998, and reading the reviews of the two-episode VHS tapes in Animerica before that. I had dial-up Internet and didn't have money to buy the $25 tapes, so I didn't get a chance to watch the whole series until about 2002, when I was able to drive and rented all the DVDs from Blockbuster. First time I watched End of Evangelion was on an .avi-to-VHS rip my friend was able to make. It blew me away, and I've been a fan ever since.

I even remember the days when I bought from Waldenbooks the original Viz release of the manga with the volumes printed left-to-right, and the time period when Viz released each chapter in a separate comic book format for $3! The early aughts was an expensive time to be an Evangelion fan.

Anyway, glad to be here!

I’m new here. I work in post production and I would like to research different encodes and subs. I have been a long time EVA fan and would like to know more of the history of home releases and the differences and nuances of different versions of the show, whether translation differences or color correction changes. I would also like to eventually do an academic analysis on the entire series as part of my interests as a current film theory major in university. I look forward in engaging with the forum.
