Can't for the life of me find the 1.0 CRC thread, but it's getting reissued in June without the giant cardboard box or hardcover and with without the storyboards for a mere 3,500 yen.

Presumably the 2.0 softcover will follow eventually?

Holy shit.
Gotta get that.

Not finding an Amazon Japan listing for this.

Really want the old ones in my collection in the long run, but this is awesome for now.

Ahhhh. I saw this on my news feed and the stupid automatic translation made me think they changed their mind and were releasing the 3.0 CRC prematurely.

Oh, lemme copy/paste my reply in here from another thread, since the other books are getting releases:

View Original PostSailor Star Dust wrote:2.0 Complete Records Collection visual story version (similar to that softcover 1.0 book about to be released): Summer 2019

2.0 Complete Records Collection setting documents version: Summer 2019

and yep,

3.0 Complete Records Collection setting documents version: date pending

Cool that the Q CRC is finally happening though, since they previously said it would be announced closer to when Shin Eva's out! Probably means whatever material is in it they didn't include in Shin Eva, I'd wager.

Weirdly, the 1.0 CRC release book seems to be a blend of the visual story version with the setting documents version, compared to the future released 2.0 books where they're split up.

The originally published 1.0 CRC was just a single volume, and not split in two like the 2.0 CRC, so that makes sense I suppose.

Ahh, I see.

I wonder if these CRC softcovers mean an English release could be likely down the road? :reiquiz: (Would be super cool!) Udon and VIZ have been releasing/eventually releasing some pretty cool Eva books, recently.
