It's almost time for the damn lantern festival people!
Is the 3.0 spoiler policy gone?.... Cool, then I'm nominating myself as EvaGeeks 1# Sakura Suzuhara fan/nerd.

I mean, predictability is the central attraction and the narrative hook that we've all come to expect from the Evangelion franchise. How come Anno can't realize this? Twice? - FreakyFilmFan4ever

At the very least just give us an English title, please! You've had nearly four years; just give us four words!
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

Here's two of them to keep you going: "You ... (not) ..."
"Being human, having your health; that's what's important." (from: Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi )
"As long as we're all living, and as long as we're all having fun, that should do it, right?" (from: The Eccentric Family )

Can't wait for 3.0+1.0? - try Afterwards... my post-Q Evangelion fanfic (discussion)

Well, here it is: http://neweva.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-4723.html Not Eva or G related by the looks of it. Any idea what it HOU ON SHA TOKU means?

But hey, there's King! And Moyoco's lantern is really quite lovely.

Edit: According to this, it means "gratitude for kindness and virtue."
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!

Odd I didn't see this post in my notifications until I manually checked this thread.
But yup there it is. Even if the festival is on Tuesday.

Expecting the next one soon.
Is there a concrete day for this festivity?
Shinji: "Sooner or later I'll be betrayed... And they'll leave me. Still... I want to meet them again, because I believe my feelings at that time were real."
Ryuko: "I'm gonna knock ya on your asses!"
-Asuka: THINK IN GERMAN!!! -Shinji: Öh... Baumkuchen...
Hayashida: "As game developers, our work is special. All of us here can put smiles on very many people's faces with our work."
"In any case, it (Kill la Kill) is the greatest work of fiction ever written and should be taught in schools." -Squigsquasher

From what I understand it starts on the first day of Autumn and ends on the 9th every year. This year it's the 6th-9th.
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!
