Looking good. Not seeing anything I take issue with.
Shot of the massive asylum field set up so the patients can roam is nicely surreal.
Fan of Will Patton, happy he is getting work.

Daniel McBride is a genius and a sexual tyrannosaurus so I'd have seen it on those merits, but as someone who doesn't particularly enjoy horror or care about the Halloween franchise, this movie looks really interesting.

So Legendary is making a live action Gundam movie. Most likely in lieu of doing a third Pacific Rim since Uprising couldn’t even muster up $300 million worldwide off a plus $150 million budget. It’s early goings but Legendary has the capital and the standing in the industry both domestically and worldwide to get an expensive Gundam movie done. The slippery slope towards an unnecessary live action Evangelion film begins again....

LAEM is unnecessary unless it's directed by Michael Bay, in which case it needs to be engraved on golden disks and sent out into the universe so that even when the Earth is depopulated in atomic wars over phosphorus and the last livable land near the poles, the pinnacle of our creative existence will endure for all time.

Very pleased, the first trailer wowed me for sure. Massive fan of 3 & 4. Will make a effort to finally see 5 soon.

I'm going to see it just because Cavill is in it.

Hold the Dark
Looks like a more horror & action oriented version of Wind River starring Jeffery Wright (casino royale, westworld).
Looks fantastic.

Wright is incredible. That looks amazing. I know everyone hated Bright (and they probably should have) but Netflix has put out some good stuff, notably The Ritual. I'll definitely see it on "opening night" as it were.

The only question now is whether Detective Pikachu or the live action Sonic movie will be the greatest film ever made.

Sony’s rights to Masters of the Universe have expired, and Mattel is setting up their own film division.

https://www.flickeringmyth.com/2018/09/ ... ie-expire/

It’ll probably be a soulless commercial product but a new He-Man movie at least has the potential to be gloriously insane.
