Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

One is syringe based (With out any needle) so it must go in her mouth directly as it needs to get in the blood stream and has to be given every 8 hours. She's way to smart for pills she just eats around them its why her wormer and flea treatments are liquid based.

The issue though is she's just not eating though she is drinking but she's having a second check up tonight just got to see if she eats today or they may keep her overnight. She is young though only 5 years old so I'm hoping she'll get through this and recover though it may mean she'll need a change of diet in the long run.

I made an appointment to have my dog put to sleep tomorrow and it's killing me inside. He's been with me for 17 years. I got him in a Wal-mart parking lot as a small, adorable puppy when I was in middle school. He's in really bad shape now though. He has bad arthritis in his hips which leaves him barely able to stand or walk, and I think he's both blind and deaf. I tried to play with him earlier and he wouldn't react to me at all unless I touched him, which made him jump like he'd been hit. He just wanders aimlessly in circles or sleeps and he doesn't seem to know where he is. Isn't eating much either.

Everyone tells me it's the right thing to do because he's suffering right now, but it doesn't keep me from feeling like I'm betraying my best friend. I always wished I could give him a better home or give him to someone who could give him all the love and devotion I think he deserves, but he's been unfailingly loyal and devoted to me since we met. I once took him for a walk with me and accidentally left him behind at a church when I got picked up by a family member. When I realized it and went back, he was sitting right there on the steps waiting for me to come back. He's the most wonderful and loving pet I've ever had and I wish that he could have had so much more than the shitty living conditions my family forced on him. I really don't want to do this but if he's suffering then I feel like it'd be just as cruel to make him keep on that way. ;_;
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!

I'm so sorry you have to do this as I had to watch this happen to my dog as a very young teen as you had cancer and its just hard as hell, know though that if he is suffering this badly you are doing the right thing and that he will always be alive in your memories.

Thanks for your kind words. He's passed on now, and it was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. But I made sure to stick with him to the very end giving him all the love and affection I possibly could.

Then he died in the company of someone who loved him and that is the greatest gift you can give to someone whether there human or animal, because in there last moments they know they are loved and cherished and they can pass on knowing that in the afterlife.

Thanks. Hopefully wherever he is now, there are plenty of empty laps and squishy treats for him. ^_^ I'm feeling much better now that the grief is passing and acceptance and peace are settling in. More than anything I really appreciate what a kind and loving animal he was, even to other animals he barely knew. I'd really like to honor his legacy by passing that kindness on to others, people and animal alike.

Psycho-neighbour update: Three weeks free of him for me, two weeks on holiday and when I came back he was gone for a week.

So I did some more work on eliminating sources of noise in my apartment (turns out a certain wall vibrates when water taps are turned open wide and a cupboard that was attached to it propagated the noise), which pretty much eliminated what I can hear of Other Neighbour when he's not having a party and severely limits what I can hear of him when he's having a party.

It also meant a decent reduction of what I can hear of Psycho-Neighbour-Girlfriend. Unfortunately the effect on Psycho Neighbour is limited. Tonight he was home again, apparently with his parents staying with him again (four people in a cramped two-room apartment  ). There's a slight improvement, except for the slamming doors (of course), the stomping around, and the voices.

Five more things to fix. Four of them easy (holes in corners where two walls meet the floor), one quite hard (but I will try again). Then it's landlord intervention time. :emogendo:

Edit: Hmmm, psycho-neighbour is yet again leaving his apartment later in the morning to go to work . So far, it has shifted from 8.30 AM to 9 AM to 9.30 AM to now 10.30 AM over several months time (each shift occurs after a holiday) - weird. :???: OTOH, if he were fired he would probably have to move, so maybe this is positive.

I'm so damn tired of having to live in a tropical island like Puerto Rico where the summer heat is intense and nothing noteworthy in terms of actual artists I really do like instead of the local talent constantly being bombarded on concerts and radio happens all the time. It's kind of a thing where those who live in the colder climates probably dream of abandoning that place for the tropics but in my case, I long for someplace cooler with snow which is something I have yet to experience. Even in my prior trips to the USA of which they have all been to parts of Florida, it doesn't snow there so what's the point? Sometimes I would give what I don't got to be in someone else's shoes because I can't stand the cards I have been given generally.
And so Javert, you see it's true. This man bears no more guilt than you! Who am I? TWO-FOUR-SIX-OH-OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! - Jean Valjean (Les Miserables)

I know it might sound like shit advice coming from someone who lives near the alps with real winters and glaciers and stuff...
It's nice to have that climate until you have to live with it. In summer, we tend get 40°C droughts punctuated by increasingly heavy hitting thunderstorms, while in Winters in can go down to -20° - which can be romantic if you don't have to leave your house. Also, all the fruits that grow here are shit compared to to those growing in a tropical environment.
What I'm trying to say is... I've learned once you actually have something you dreamt of having, you stay as miserable, because you wish for something else.

I would take -20° Celsius over tropical heat any day. Including winter. Including days where it has been -18° celsius outside.

Equatorial jungle inhabitant here. Sure, the heat and oppressive humidity can go beyond nightmarish in summer, but it pays off bigtime in the winter months, or what we just call the "dry season" (we don't get true winters, after all), as it's 4 months or more of perfect, beautiful weather. Wouldn't change it for the world.

I was in Sapporo, Japan back in December, and there were days it got down to -8°C. The snow is beautiful, and I like getting rugged up, but I think it would be too much to live in that kind of environment constantly.

I guess both opposites have their pros and cons ^_^

I much prefer having a few good friends who you can really connect with over trying to have as many friends as possible. If people can't accept you the way you are, you are better off without them.
...at least that's the way I handle this problem

My grandfather wants to cut a lemon tree in our house(my parents and my brothers) to make space for some bitch that rented the house a couple of weeks ago. Despite said woman having plenty of parking space a few meters away.

Obviously, I value the lemon tree over that woman's life, so I'm against this, and so is everybody else in our house.

All this because my poor, oh so miserable grandfather, needs a couple more bucks. Seriously, I like my grandfather, but he is a greedy bastard.

I hope the woman gains some common sense soon. I don't want to deal with this nonsense.

EDIT: I just realized that even without the lemon tree there isn't enough space for the woman's car so whats the point AHHHHH

I won’t tempt fate putting this in the RML thread. My Web and Mail servers are in my attic where they must be getting insanely hot in this heat-wave while I’m away. Luckily, perhaps, before leaving I thought to put a big office-type fan up there to move the air around them, and right now they are still running fine...

Tales of the Psycho-Neighbour part 235,467:

For the last two weeks he has had very erratic 'working' hours - which just so happen to match exam times at the local higher education facilities  (so far for 'having a job', I guess...). Furthermore, his parents are staying with him, and he's as noisy as ever.
One of these 'working' days he was gone for maybe an hour, then he came home and did stuff such as flushing the toilet a dozen times and pacing around like a caged lion, after which he received a phone call that had him react eagerly (and loudly) to something said on the other side of the line, only to be followed by a disappointed "Oh..." a moment later and a frantic discussion with his parents on his balcony which ended with the words "But what are we going to do?!?" from his mom. Guess something went wrong there...

Then yesterday he 'worked' only in the afternoon (curiously perfectly matching the higher education facilities exam times of 13.00 to 16.00 hours  ), came home in an extremely foul mood, slamming doors like crazy etc. Later his parents came home and so did his girlfriend, more discussions. That evening it sounded like he was slamming down plates violently on his dinner table, his girlfriend shouted "What are you doing?!?", a tense and loud dispute followed, the girlfriend stormed out the flat in anger :uhh: , and Psycho-Neighbour went to sulk(!) on the balcony. About 10 minutes later I heard his father tell him (on the balcony) "If you are going to be like that, you can eat alone.". Meanwhile I was like :crazytwirl:  :gasp: :hohum: Psycho-Neighbour genuinely seems like he has the emotional development of a toddler...
