Your entertainment wishlist?

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

I'd forgotten this thread existed. Ahem.

Anyway, my updated wishlist:

Squiggo's retarded entertainment wants  SPOILER: Show
>An actually decent, adult-oriented non-CGI Transformers OVA, preferably done by Imaishi (who is a massive Transformers fan).
>Bubblegum Crisis to make a comeback.
>Evangelion: FINAL to be done in 3 parts- first Puchi Eva format, followed by a claymation act (outsourced to Aardman, with cameos by Wallace and Gromit) and finally for the fourth wall to come crashing to the ground and the third and final chapter be done by the voice cast in (intentionally awful) cosplay, with the final "villain" (with all traces of a plot long gone by this point) being Hideaki Anno in a very bad rubber monster suit. At the end, we get CONGRATULATIONS but with Anno instead of Shinji. Anno rejects instrumentality, everything is fixed, the animation is returned to normal and Shinji marries Rei.
>A new Evangelion TV series to come out in which every episode is directed by a different person (Ikuhara, Imaishi etc) and the whole series is a light-hearted pisstake of the original series and the countless imitators it spawned.
>The Galaxy Fraulein Yuna games to come out properly and faithfully translated on PC.
>Satoshi Urushihara to do more stuff in general, be it H or non-H.
Here lies Squigsquasher.
2013-2017.

- We get a Luke Skywalker movie set a few years before Kylo lost his shit, show his Jedi temple & the New Republic so we can actually see what our heroes built after the original trilogy, show him training kids, show him going off on peacekeeping missions around the galaxy, show him doing ultra badass Jedi stuff Last Jedi denied us. Let Hamill have notable creative & writing input to pull him out of his post Last Jedi Anti-Star Wars stupor.
- We get a Count Dooku novel by James Luceno who recently wrote a really solid Tarkin novel.
- Actress Antje Traue's upcoming show Dead End is successful and leads to her getting more lead roles. Big fan of her since Man of Steel.
- Yellowstone is every bit as good as Taylor Sheridan's previous work.
- True Detective S3 is notably better then S2 (and I like s2)
- Man of Steel 2 is directed by Brad Bird or Gareth Edwards.
- Matt Reeves's The Batman is a adaption of Court of Owls or a TAS style sympathetic Mr.Freeze story.
- We get a smaller scale & budget noir mystery focused Martian Manhunter movie set in the 1950s during the height of UFO paranoia. Take influence from his part in Justice League - The New Frontier.
- Bayonetta Bloody Fate gets a sequel.

-A fully fleshed out 3D Classic Sonic game made by the guys who made Sonic Utopia, and supported by SEGA Sonic Mania style
-An Evangelion ANIMA character action game with RPG elements made by Platinum Games
-A game or movie that accurately recreates the trapping, draining feeling of real, clinical melancholic depression (NGE comes close but doesn't focus enough on the feeling of being trapped)
-For Walt Disney World's Epcot to return to being EPCOT Centre in more than just name, but in form as well. I hate the takeover of Future World by various Disney-owned IPs. The Seas wasn't so bad because it was merely an addition of beloved characters to an old attraction, more of a reinvigorition than destroying the pavillion and attraction's original intent and feel (see: Journey into YOUR imagination, Mission: SPACE, Frozen Ever After and motherfucking goddamn Guardians of the Galaxy & Ellen DeGeneres' vaguely energy-related marketing tie in adventure). It sucks that The Land, which is the second lamest idea for a pavilion behind World of Motion, is the one pavilion that remains largely unchanged, with only positive additions. However, when it comes to Test Track replacing World of Motion, I'm incredibly okay with stuff like that. World of Motion felt like Spaceship Earth but with a focus on transportation, like holy shit that's bland as fuck. With Test Track, however, in all it's iterations and updates, you not only get to design and test your own car in a cool-ass dark ride, you also get a bit of E-ticket action at the end with the speed test.
I've reached a point where I just generally don't give a fuck anymore. In a good way.

3nd Impact and Battle Orchestra are both pretty fuckin awesome. 3nd Impact does have a few lame game types (woo I love moving a thing up and down and pushing a button every few seconds), but is otherwise really good. Battle Orchestra is the best kind of Smash Bros clone, not to mention, it has a fucking fantastic opening.

I guess this kinda came true.

-------------------------------------------
I'd like the Ping Pong manga to get released in the States and some kind of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu bluray release. I'd also like some kind of company to get the rights to NGE and release some crazy expensive bluray release as it's pretty much a travesty that it hasn't happened in America yet.

I'd also like to see a new imagining of NGE in a 26 episode series without any input from the original staff.

I'd like to see that Resident Evil 2 remake come out before I die of old age. Or at least for Capcom to mention again that the game exists.
I used to work in a factory and I was really happy because I could daydream all day -- I.C.
And thanks to EVA, I've started like myself and that has made me very happy. Mr. Anno, please keep working on EVA a lot more.
and thank you so much for everything!!

I wish they'd just get together and make their own survival horror game IP. Hopefully Death Stranding bankrolls them enough to be able to do so.

-A digital Steam rerelease of GARAGE Bad Dream Adventure with an option for English text
-Remakes of The Desolate Room and The Desolate Hope to be released alongside the new Desolate game coming at... some point? I guess?
-A Portal/Half-Life themed dark ride coaster hybrid at Universal Studios
-Evengelion XR You Can (Not) Survive to come to Universal Orlando and be a permanent fixture
-For that super early Tokyo Game Show build of Sonic the Hedgehog to resurface at some point. I heard it was actually lost internally at SEGA, which isn't really surprising considering their track record of brash incompetency
-A midwest US Disneyland, Silver Dollar City is rad as hell but nothing beats that Disney Magic (TM)
-For Marc Laidlaw to return to Valve. I don't even care if we never get HL3 but I would be much more hyped for any future Valve titles if they were written by Mr.Laidlaw.

-Some sort of collaboration between Stephen King and Steven Spielberg, preferably a new Dark Tower adaptation

-A serious, big-budget dinosaur movie that isn't part of the Jurassic Park franchise

-A remake of Pokemon Stadium/Colosseum/XD for the Switch

-An American animated series--TV or streaming, doesn't matter-- that goes for the same audience and tone as Evangelion

-A Star Wars sequel that somehow manages to work in the Yuuzhan Vong from the New Jedi Order.

-An anime adaptation of one of Mohiro Kitoh's works that doesn't change the whole story or cut off halfway through.
Life can seem a challenge. Life can seem impossible. It's never easy when so much is on the line.

HNGGG YES. I absolutely adore depictions of the ancient Earth. It's always so mysterious and terrifying. Not to mention, feathers or not, dinosaurs are badass.

I've actually been conceptualizing a psychological horror sci-fi story for about a year now. Of course, I can't really do anything with it right now since I'm only 18 and have no connection to any sort of branch of the film industry, but it's my dream to one day create it as an animated streaming series using 80's animation techniques, design, music, and overall feel, with special edition physical VHS releases some time afterward. Of course, it would be ridiculously expensive to produce, and streaming may not even exist in the future, hell, the entire concept of human entertainment may have vastly shifted to something else the same way we went from plays to circuses to radio to television, but I have to dream. I gotta keep moving forward; if I can dream it, I can do it.

-Qui-Gon: A Star Wars Story (A film that depicts Qui-Gon Jinn when he was still a padawan being trained by Dooku.)

-Darth Plagueis: A Star Wars Story (A film based on, and re-canonizing the events of, the Darth Plagueis novel.)

-Blackwing: A Star Wars Story (A film based on, and re-canonizing, the horror novel Death Troopers.)

-A home console tank game developed by a major AAA publisher such as Square Enix, Obsidian, or Ubisoft, that's focused on offline single-player content instead of being an online multiplayer free-to-play game. And not a strategy or anime game, either. Currently we have four tank games on PS4, and the best one is a GuP game with a very limited selection of tanks (that also happens to be the only offline game). That's just not right. Ideally this game would have a vast selection of both historically produced and prototype/blueprint tanks to play with like World of Tanks has, but encompass everything from World War 1 to the present day. There would be features such as a custom battle creator, full tank customization, and a test drive mode for when you want to just drive around a map and look at the scenery. New tanks would be added regularly via paid DLC packs.
Final Fantasy VII is being remade, all's right with the world.

Maybe if I complain, there's a chance various companies will read what fans want  States = Western release in general. Let everyone enjoy the good stuff

•Marmalade Boy bluray box in the States. Discotek recently re-released the series on DVD, and Japan is releasing a bluray box, so I'm assuming that means Discotek's own bluray release was pushed back to work something out? (C'mon, Toei....)
•For that matter, a manga re-release of Marmalade Boy (and the current sequel manga, Little) would be awesome!
•Another bluray: for VIZ to eventually re-release Sailormoon via Toei's bluray releases, not their own crappy releases.
•NGE + EoE bluray box in the States, preferably (if Funi nabs the rights) in-tact Kanji tel-ops and what have you.
•MGS Legacy Collection on PS4/Steam/etc. I'm nervous about Konami's current track record.....but yeah.
•Believe it or not, I like how The Sims 4 is with certain expansions. Seasons looks like it's shaping up to be an excellent release. Just some tweaks to the engine/Sim personalities and then old-school fans (newer ones, too) would really enjoy this 4th iteration, I think.
•I'm still waiting for the day when Kojima and Anno collaborate on something together.Kojima's occasional Shin Godzilla merch pictures make me weep inside. Length of the project doesn't matter, I just think the end result would be awesome :w00t: (To be fair, I'm cautiously optimistic about Death Stranding, but yeah.)

Overall I'm pretty happy with how most of my media...thingies (that's the technical term) are, so I don't have too much lately I'm concerned with. I know I posted back in the day but I can't remember what I hoped for.

Manga I would like to see available in English:

Piano no mori
Pupa - (I already have it in Japanese...)

Anime I'd like to see completed to match the manga:

Bokura ga ita
Fruits Basket
Kare Kano - but I have mixed feelings about this...

I was going to say I wanted an English BD/DVD release of Kyōsōgiga - but I have just seen it became available earlier this year.

Avatar: "It was yourself you ran away from" - episode 16. (details); Past avatars.
Can't wait for 3.0+1.0? - try Afterwards... my post-Q Evangelion fanfic (discussion)

Jonathan Hickman to quit screwin' about, sign DC exclusive and write World's Finest, Legion of Super-Heroes and Earth-2. Apparently LOSH is his favourite superhero property, a perfect vehicle for his style of cosmic-scale epics, and the rumours of Hickman joining the DC stable have been fervent since Rebirth-era.

A small glimmer of hope that the Gundam Seed movie continuation may still be possible after being put on hold and made even more improbable by writer Chiaki Morosawa's death.
