I posted my sixty-fifth book review today! This time, it's Evangelion Irasutoshuu 2007-2017, the new illustrations collection that has over 600 images. I got the Limited Edition that includes a second book containing even more art, plus I explained a few interesting things about some of the pictures, including a hidden tribute to an animator who passed away last year. So I hope this review will be a good read even if you already have the regular edition of the book. Check it out!

Thank you very much for that review and for confirming I won't miss out on anything without the extra book since I own the calendar.

Yeah, if you already have those pics then just the regular edition of the book is fine. I'm glad the review was helpful! ^_^

That second book looks really cool aswell. Like you say, I'll try second hand shops one day.
I'm happy with the main book as well though.
Edit: Ome last question.
Does the second book have more of those Anno lamp festival drawings?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, because the second book only has art from Khara’s 2010 and 2014/2015 calendars. It's too bad, because I think those lanterns are pretty cool. But it's still a very nice book. ^_^

OK!
Yeah, it's kind of a shame.

I posted my sixty-sixth Evangelion book review today! This time, it's EVANGELION Millennials RADIO EVA 10th Anniversary. This is a NEW BOOK that came out this month, so I hope you enjoy the review!

Oh, and for those of you who are new here... Hello and welcome! I'm a collector with over a hundred Evangelion books, so I've been writing reviews of those books for my blog. You can check the first post on this thread to find a complete list of links to all the book reviews I've done so far. ^_^

Speaking of previous book reviews, I made a small edit to my review of Evangelion Irasutoshuu 2007-2017, because that book is now available in English. It’s the regular edition and not the Limited Edition, but other than that it’s great. Yay!

Great as always!
While I might get the RadioEva book at some point, I can't afford it right now. But this way I could get an idea of what it is. :)

Nice to see you back from your Eva-hiatus! I always read your reviews with great interest! Do you have any plans to resume reviewing some other books you own in the near future?

Thanks, robersora! It's good to be back. The increased activity in this fandom due to the Netflix release and the upcoming movie has been quite invigorating. I'll see what I can do about reviewing some more Evangelion books soon!

Quite a cute book and quite cute clothes. I wonder if maybe one day Khara might release some Eva merch officially on the West. Considering they are apparently releasing an English version of that new mobile game, maybe they are making their merch business more internationalized. If anything, while Eva will probably never reach the mass culture status it enjoys in Japan, perhaps in the West they can partner up with some companies to bring over some stuff that fans might be interested in.

Thanks for sharing your incredible collection!

Since you’ve seen more Eva art than 99% of fans, I’d be really interested to hear your Top 10 images of all time or something like that, and why you like them :)

I'm glad you're enjoying the reviews so far! As for Top 10 images, that's a fun idea, but unfortunately I would never be able to narrow it down to just ten pictures... Which would probably explain why I have such a ridiculously huge amount of Evangelion books. -o-;

Having said that, some of the books I haven't reviewed yet do contain really interesting images that I love, so I'll be showing some of those when I have time to do more reviews. ^_^

You are the only comprehensive database for information on Evangelion Books I know of, so I'm really looking forward to more book reviews :)

I posted my sixty-seventh Evangelion book review today! This time, it's Shin Seiki Evangelion Koushiki Guide Book, which is an official guide to Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Evangelion manga. I hope you enjoy the review! ^_^

Oh, and those of you who check my blog regularly might have noticed that I made small edits to my reviews of
Shin Seiki Evangelion TV Animation Settei Shiryoushuu 2015 edition, Evangelion ANIMA 1, and Evangelion ANIMA 2, because those books are now available in English. Hooray!

Thanks a lot, as always. I'm kinda disappointed at this book, it really feels rather lazy. Oh well. At least Tsurumaki insisted that on drawing his waifu again.

Glad to see you're back! One question / suggestion, while you do provide a handy ist of all the book reviews you've done so far, would you maybe consider adding books you own but haven't reviewed yet?
