It says, "New Machine" and not "New Eva", doesn't it? But Evas are alive! Either Anno has suddenly become extremely disrespectful of his own old series or the machine in question is something entirely different.

Leave out a combat machine, like that bozo Jet Alone and those godforsaken T-riden-T robotic dinosaurs, I guess the new machine is either going to be some kind of automated positron rifle platform(Can't be mind-zapped by Arael) or some sort of support equipment-an artificial core-manufacturing unit? Who knows.

I believe the Moonspeak has "New Evangelion" while the English words that go alone with it has "New Machine".

My memory could be failing me, and like other people pointed out, for all we know, "New Eva" could be a sneaky way of saying "New San, Yon, or Go -goki".

...I wouldn't put it past Anno to do something like that, actually.
