Shigeto Koyama designed the mechs for Darling in the Franxx and also helped design Disney's Baymax. He also did a lot of designs for Kill la Kill.
Yuji Kaneko drew the backgrounds for Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia.
Toru Noguchi is also the sound designer for Evangelion.
Shinji Higuchi is more well-known. He worked with Gainax, and then switched to live action. He also worked on Shin Godzilla.
Shinji: "Sooner or later I'll be betrayed... And they'll leave me. Still... I want to meet them again, because I believe my feelings at that time were real."
Ryuko: "I'm gonna knock ya on your asses!"
-Asuka: THINK IN GERMAN!!! -Shinji: Öh... Baumkuchen...
Hayashida: "As game developers, our work is special. All of us here can put smiles on very many people's faces with our work."
"In any case, it (Kill la Kill) is the greatest work of fiction ever written and should be taught in schools." -Squigsquasher

Hopefully, it'll go better for him than the last time he directed an anime series. At least it should with figures such as Mari Okada and Shoji Kawamori involved.
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

Which series did he direct? I tried looking it up, but the only one I could find was Nadia 23-39 (which would include the Island Episodes, lol)
I really like how this show looks. Okada is not my type of writer tho. She always manages to suspend my disbelief with her propensity to crank the drama up to 11.

That's what I was referring to.
