Is the entire dub like that? I need to watch it now.

Butch Hartman Gets a bit too real here. Talking about why he left Nickelodeon.

Please define "too real." Because I watched the video and all he really says is that he's thankful for his time at Nickelodeon after being there for two decades and has decided to move on to doing more independently-oriented work. He's not leaving due to family issues or a falling out with his coworkers or Nickelodeon. There doesn't really seem to be any drama here. I was expecting something a little more dramatic, emotional, or revelatory than this.

Also, I remember those Oh Yeah! Cartoons back when they were originally airing on Nickelodeon back in the late 90s. I don't specifically remember watching the original Fairly OddParents short. Also, by the time FOP was airing its actual series on Nickelodeon in 2001, I was about a year into my Cartoon Network/Toonami phase, and I rarely watched Nickelodeon after I made that switch. I only really caught FOP when my sibling would have it on in the house.
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

Very relevant to the recent Falcon Heavy launch. If you thought that was a mannequin in that Tesla you were wrong.

It's difficult in times like these; ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us, only to be crushed by grim reality.
It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical.
Yet I cling to them because I believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.

Robin Williams. Doing Schwarzenegger. Doing Shakespeare.

I was a huge fan of Williams, I've never seen this one before and laughed my ass off.

Did Ghibli create an ad for Oregon's tourism division, and if so, did they get their ideas from some guy in the Eugene area?

Any of you ever seen Kickstarter Crap? It’s by this guy called Idubbbz and it’s really funny. The reason it’s so funny is because he makes fun of people who post their dumb ideas on Kickstarter, such as organic lemons and hentai video games. It always gives me and my friend a few chuckles.
"When life gives you problems..., get into the robot!"

"We VUX wanted peace with humans, until they day that insult was thrown"
"Where's you're ogrelord now laddeh?" Drek
