while it would be cool if it turned out to be Eva i have my doubts such as 1. we don't know if this present year NYC or year 2000, 2015 NYC. 2. why NYC? why not a shot of 2000yr Antarctica or 2015yr Tokyo-3? 3. what are the odds one of the Angels would have been under NYC with out being found for 15 years?

I think the other big reason is that there's a whole bunch of J.J. Abrams/Lost fanboys and girls out there whom are also fanatics of Eva.

"Cloverfield" is a Godzilla movie. It's been about a decade since they last made a movie in the franchise, and considering franchise is everything in Hollywood rite now, I wouldn't be surprised if they were revisiting the series.
