Studio Khara is going to be working on a reboot of Patlabor.
I’ll escape now from this world, from the world of Jean Valjean, Jean Valjean is nothing now! Another story must begin!

I've never cared for Patlabor, but this short was great fun!

112% hyped for this! The fact that it will be viewable in an official online streaming site is staggering to me.

I saw it last week, it was pretty good and a reminder that Khara needs to make more anime.

SPOILER: Show
Can't say I was expecting this one to go full third impact at the end, but considering the people who worked on it, I suppose I should have. :emogendo:
Is the 3.0 spoiler policy gone?.... Cool, then I'm nominating myself as EvaGeeks 1# Sakura Suzuhara fan/nerd.

I mean, predictability is the central attraction and the narrative hook that we've all come to expect from the Evangelion franchise. How come Anno can't realize this? Twice? - FreakyFilmFan4ever

You get an award and you get an award!

But congratulations to all of them! The awards are well deserved! ^_^
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!

Annimation book for "Cassette GIrl" is to be released, though there doesn't appear to be a release date set for it. Here is the Amazon page for it.

Awww yiiiiiiissssssss, we're getting an NHK documentary about the expo, with the title being something like "Anno-san and Our Reckless Challenge"?

http://www.nhk.or.jp/anime/animatorexpo/

NHK documentaries are usually awesome, can't wait for this.

Yeah, if they have interpreters talking over people I'm gonna be pissy. I can never seem to tell how NHK World decides when to do that vs. when to use actual subtitles.

Almost all of the shorts ("Yamadeloid" and "Mobile Police Patlabor Reboot" aside) are going to be included in the limited edition of "The Dragon Dentist" in Japan. The lack of a proper home video release is a real shame, it's such a nice project.
