I checked on there youtube channel and wiki currently they've only done Godzilla vs Gamera. Also I forgot to add that this battle could also be interesting as you have beast mode as well if its set rebuild universe and you have Mari or Asuka in unit 02. Again they might fail in the first battle but it would be kind of funny to see 02 doing the Mothra thing and bite Shin Godzilla's tail and hang off it.

I find the image pathetic mostly because Eva-01 could destroy Shin Godzilla with one of her fingernail clippings. (Eva-00 is lame enough to warrant having her head stepped on, though.) It just gives the impression that the artist loves Godzilla and hates the Evas, and wants to jack off to an outcome that could never happen.

Or Godzilla could laser beam Eva 01 the moment it emerges from the ground taking its head off killing Shinji. Or the other way around. Usually match up with gods are just unrealistic or plain boring.

I won't deny, that could be the artist's intent, but personally I get the impression that he just wanted to draw Hideaki Anno's kaiju fighting each other, and nothing more.

Plus, Godzilla circlejerkers tend to be too stupid to do anything other than draw Godzilla murdering Jesus in crayon

Would destroying 01's head kill Shinji? Asuka survived 02's decapitation. And I actually doubt that Godzilla's breath could decapitate an Eva. It's strong, but not that strong.

And while Shin Godzilla is a god compared to other lifeforms, it's still vulnerable. OPERATION: Yashiori proved that. I would say that Evas would be more than capable of defeating Shin Godzilla with coagulant, while Godzilla would defeat the Evas in a more conventional battle.

If I remember correctly Asuka survived because they disabled the synch at the last moment or something similar.

And I definitely would agree with those sentiments. The evas may be the power of the bond between a mother and child personified....but Gojira, he is NATURE'S WRATH PERSONIFIED, uncaring, unmoving, and unflinching.

They also say that the AT-Field of an Eva is impenetrable? Well, NOTHING in life is truly impenetrable. It's just a matter of applying enough FORCE. And the King himself? He's all ABOUT force.

To me this both depends on incarnation and circumstance. If this was Showa Godzilla (which was before invincibility and regeneration were general abilities of his) against a post-core absorption Eva-01 that either went beserk, or its pilot was able to get an absurdly high synch rate, then it goes to the Eva. On the other hand, if this is Heisei/Millenium Godzilla against a pre-core absorption Eva-01 and the pilot's synch rate was low, then it goes to the G-man
