Hi guys, i discovered Evangelion just a few months ago, and it was sudden love!

Last week i was watching the Rebuild 2.0, and started to think about doing a custom opening. Mantaining the original style, wich i love (i think it's one of the most iconic openings ever) but innovating it with Rebuild fashion.

Your video is really good and if rebuild had been a series this type of opening would have fitted really well.

This is great though I would suggest changing the staff credits to actually be accurate to the movies (Gainax logo especially really doesn't deserve to be there on all that shiny new footage). It would be much cleaner looking to do them as with the text tool vs editing it out of the old images, there's actually the occasional character piece missing.

Also how come you didn't use the ADAMS footage form the movie for the ADAM part?

Yeah, i discovered later on that was a different studio that worked on the rebuild, so I put Gainax my fault!

As for the Adam part, I've not seen the Rebuild 3.0 yet, the video is based on 1.0 & 2.0 stuff, so i had to put the old Adam frame from the opening!

Maybe I'll do another video based on 3.0 & final rebuild, once it will finally come out!
I discovered Evangelion recently, but I want always more now, so I'll do more stuff!

This is pretty fantastic, and A Cruel Angel's Thesis is my favorite intro (and song, actually) by a longshot. I really love the second half of the video, and I think you did a great job with the movement of the individual character frames to the beat of the music. When Unit 01 Awakened showed up, I died (in a good way). The only problem I have is the awkward clip of Shinji staring into the camera in the first part of the video. It would be fine if he looked at the camera for just a second, but Shinji probably has issues making eye contact due to his personality, and the stationary gaze that he has is a bit off-putting. My suggestion would be another slight movement to him (and maybe Misato, but she's fine).

Regardless of that (very) minor occurrence, great work!

Well, it was a very fast frame, it needed some movement in it, so this would have been a little too static anyway
