Does Asuka sound different to anyone in 2.22?
She sounds different from the series somehow. Her voice is less harsh, less grating. This is weird because I know that's still Tiffany Grant, and she sounds the same as she does in the series in 3.33.

Your voice changes as you age. Eva 2.22 was dubbed in late 2010/early 2011, which would make it 7-11 years since she recorded for D&R, EoE and the director's cuts.
When I first saw the dub of Eva 1.11, I was pretty sure they pitched up Spike Spencer to try to compensate. Perhaps they did that for Tiffany Grant as well.
Also, recording technology has gotten a bit better, so the recordings might be cleaner, with less distortion that can cause the vocals to seem harsher than they are.
