I think Eva fics are already the most reviewed amongst the 90s or older anime franchises. I don't think even Ranma fics get these kinds of response nowadays, and that fandom was huge back then. I can tell for a fact it is a lot more difficult to get reviews for writing Utena, and near impossible to get any for Petshop of Horrors/ Banana Fish/ Please Save my Earth (all of which had sizable fandoms back when mailing lists were popular).
