Waaaaaait a minute, are you telling me that the person who wrote those weird, practically cryptic lyrics was not actually trying to emulate the style of the show? I decided some time ago it was supposed to be Yui's mother singing to Shinji in a weird, Eva-esque manner about the importance he will ultimately hold. I guess these were supposed to be generic anime protagonist lyrics, and their weirdness either comes from the process of translating song lyrics or the fact that she wrote them in two hours. Then again, none of the Madoka lyrics I've seen are that cryptic.

..waitttt, was my assumption that Homura was singing the Madoka theme wrong as well??
