Another funny thing I noticed is Gel seems to look like a gorilla version of Jet when he isn't wearing his wig and hat.

That was an awesome final episode. End of Dandy? Or maybe more like Ideon? Bah, who cares, we need more Dandy!

Finished Space Dandy a few days ago. The first couple of episodes were kind of disappointing, mostly because I had high expectations from Watanabe and I was under the impression that it was going to be more of a straight-up-comedy and I found the first episode to be lacking in that department. I think that was a lot of people's reactions at the beginning? But it does get progressively better and I adjusted to the idea of it not being a comedy. It's actually more of an anthology with the installments varying in tone and style, but it never gets too serious. It's a fun, light-hearted project.
My favorite episode is probably "A World with No Sadness, Baby".

Re: Shinichiro Watanabe's Space Dandy
I just marathoned this show, and boy, was it swell. I'd dare to say that it's my favorite comedy anime. I mean, it's not hilarious, but there's so much creativity in the visuals and storytelling that it could stand another eight seasons. Man, I wish I'd bothered to watch it while it was airing. The talkbacks must've been fun.
I have one lingering question, though. Why does the narrator say that only Dandy can remember the events of previous episodes? I distinctly remember that in Episode 2, QT acknowleged the events of Episode 1. Furthermore, the Narrator says that Dandy is the only person who exists in all universes and is able to move through them, even though we've seen Earth Prime's QT and Meow interact with alternate versions of QT and Meow. Is this a Narrator of the unreliable variety?
Exactly. I really want to see more shows like this. We have this, Adventure Time.. and maybe Community counts?
