As the master Anno once said, "sometimes it's a good thing to run away". Right now is one of those times.

Evangelion's purpose this entire time was to prepare us for this atrocity...
SPOILER: Show
...that wouldn't exist without Evangelion... ?
Shinji: "Sooner or later I'll be betrayed... And they'll leave me. Still... I want to meet them again, because I believe my feelings at that time were real."
Ryuko: "I'm gonna knock ya on your asses!"
-Asuka: THINK IN GERMAN!!! -Shinji: Öh... Baumkuchen...
Hayashida: "As game developers, our work is special. All of us here can put smiles on very many people's faces with our work."

You laugh at the piece of comedy that this thing is and move on. Think of it like "After the End". It's just there to be funny.

I'm surprised more people haven't seen this scene before.

There are other funny scenes in the game, like Kaji being a crossdresser, Maya wanting to be a chef, and Shinji doing yoga with Misato.

Anyways I was hoping for some feedback of the translation.

It probably doesn't feel like it as a script, but the scene is intended with a comedic/facetious tone and not to be taken too seriously. Think of it like that wacky Kaji/Shinji scene in 2.22

It's clearly there to destroy our souls.
Thanks for tranlating it BTW.

Welp, you beat me to it with my old thread here (at the top of the Discussion section): http://forum.evageeks.org/thread/10581/NGE2-Shinjis-2nd-Scenario-Event-Translations-PSP/

Is it cool that I merged threads, chaosakita? Your translation's accurate from what I remember of the scene, along with the bracketed parts. Good job! :fuyusnap:

At the start of this thread is the Shinji and Misato yoga, along with Rei and Shinji bonding. Oh, and Kaworu the makeup artist. They're all from PSP Shinji's Scenario 2, I just never found the time to finish them.

Nope, but it's pretty hilarious. "Please, call me Ryouko!" "Ry--Ryou--N-no, Kaji-san, stop!"

Maybe I could try to translate it. But it's definitely a lot longer and harder than the Fuyutsuki one.

I've been waiting for Asuka's scene for years, now. Tick tock, SSD.

Yes, I know. You thought it would be something about Asuka. You're such idiots.

It's not. Only Battle Orchestra is available on PS Store. At least this is what my search gave me.

If you have a PSP the game has a BEST version so you can find it very cheap. The PS2 version is also cheap.

Yeah, I have the "PSP the Best" version. It works with my US-bought PSP and everything. Only problem is I still don't know Japanese well enough to play it.

My PSP doesn't work anymore. I am thinking of buying the PS2 version and then rip the disc in order to play it on the emulator but i too don't know Japanese and this is the only thing that prevents me from buying it. It's nice that we have people translating portions of the game but unfortunately we don't have a hacker to make a patch with these translations for the game. Of course, this is easy for me saying it, since i am not a translator or a hacker. Only thing i could is donate for the project.

If Evageeks could provide a patch for NGE2, i am sure it would give this place much more spotlight and credit.
