Could we get a button that inserts the twitter tags like we have for the img and url functions?
Edit: that was quick thanks!

I included a Twitter link in this post but the Tweet was shrunken without the center tags around it. Is that some kind of glitch?

Looks fine to me without the center. The styles for the twitter embed is centered by default.

Some may have noticed from this post that Google Plus posts can now be embeddeed. Same rules as the twitter embeds. Decided to go ahead and code it in because G+ makes it ridiculously easy, wrote it up in like less than a minute, and on my phone even.
You can use the [gplus] tag and surround a G+ post url and it should do the right thing.

Re: Twitter (and center)
^
The twitter tag seems to have been functional whenever I've used it in recent weeks.
§
Something I've missed since the very early days when we permitted more raw HTML in posts has been a horizontal rule separator, especially when writing posts that split into two or more distinct thoughts. So I've taken advantage of the new forum software to define a couple of styles of same -- [para]colour[/para] and [hr]colour[/hr] where colour is anything you can use for text colour. Above is [para], a bold section break, below is [hr], a more discreet fade in and out.

Re: Twitter (and center)
There was a horizontal rule in the old forum; I used it regularly. It was invoked by typing a sequence of 56 [sic] or more hyphens on a separate line - I cannot imagine what was in the mind of whoever thought that one up! (Nor can I remember how I discovered it.)

Re: Twitter (and center)
It was an attempt to prevent people from blowing up the forum layout by making a line that was too long, so I replaced it with essentially what they were trying to do anyways.
